God has sent Lucifer aka Trump to punish us for our sins? Unfortunately, the innocents will be effected whether in economic or in armed conflict.
I have not heard anyone counter argue the trade deficit with Trump/Americans by pointing out that we are 1.5 tenth of the American. So actually we consumed/bought more US product per capita then them of Canadian goods?
So unnecessary.

Sticking together is the best we can do. Trump is one of the biggest fools on earth. He believes that he and he alone knows more about everything than anybody. I'd call that a god complex. Problem is he is going to do whatever he wants because he will never listen to any expert or staff recommendations who all know that tariffs , trickle down economy, walls, isolationism and dictatorships
simply do not work.
 
Unfortunately Trump will have the entire world in turmoil, and the majority of the American people are either as power hungry as he is or just plain idiots ( I tend to think the latter). And worse yet, there are a significant number of Canadians that think Trump and his dictator reign is great as well. Now he has threatened military action to take control of the Panama Canal as well as Greenland. If he isn't at war with another country very soon, I will be surprised. and you are right Dave. There is SFA we can actually do. This next 4 years will go down in history along with the lunatic and his supporters unless someone is a better shot than the last guy.
 
Again, if you read about the rise of Hitler it is very similar to what DJT is trying to do.
Anything he says is a bunch of crap. He doesn't care about the USA. He sees the USA as his company now so he will cajole. threaten and anything else to weaken his competition.
All in the sake of enriching himself, family and billionaire friends/companies.
I mentioned it before but he will either seek a third term or anoint one of his family to continue the T dynasty.
A true hypocrite as he said he was getting the US out of all wars and here he is threatening Panama, Greenland and next Canada with military action to get what he wants - money.
Unfortunately he is destroying what the USA stood for over the last 80 years, a symbol of democracy. Russia and China will look at this and emulate him. Wouldn't surprise me to see Taiwan fall within five years.
A very sad predicament for every one in the world.
We can not lock arms with our US cousins anymore.
Standing on our own is the only way to do it.

Don't know if this will meet with our language police as the "F" word get thrown around a bit in the Vid. Nice clear outline of how much Canadians buy of US goods versus how much the US buys of Can goods.

 
I was thinking of dropping Amazon and switching to Shopify. Lo and behold if Tobi has lined up in support of DJT.
Isn't it funny how the money is lining up behind him where they are hoping to get a whiff of his farts. He'll be keeping O'Leary company I guess.
Joe said it quite well in his farewell address when he pointed out that the US was in danger of becoming an oligarchy.
For DJT, the US is not a country. It his company to run as he sees fit. He will either acquire what he wants through mergers and acquisitions or try to smother them. DJT' business acumen does not have a very good roadmap. How many of his businesses have he bankrupted?
 
Fyi.. I guess the bad trade deals that the Americans are currently in really hurting their companies??

They buy $billions$ in beaten down stock this morning..........then..........orange thing postpones Mexican tariffs for a month. Done.
Talks to trudie this morning, and again at 3pm today.
Bet your ass, or bet the market, the Cdn tariffs will be postponed for a month also.....IMO.

I'm not much of a Sun newspaper reader, and even less of a fan of Justine "Socks" T., but an article by Kinsella in today's Sun, posted online by MSN, certainly seems to jive with Murray's observation, in particular about Trump's "base". For myself, I've just cancelled Amazon Prime (which I kinda enjoyed for the movies and older TV-series availability) as well as Sirius XM for my car and home. When I called Sirius to cancel, and they asked me "Why", I told 'em flat out I'm shedding any U.S. affiliated economic dealings. I got the impression I was just one of many calling them this morning. For Amazon, it was 100% due to Bezos kissing Trumps posterior.

I also suspect that if-and-when alternative supplies of currently American-shipped goods are found, those new arrangements will be cemented, and not easily switched back.

Yup, I'm really pizzed.

As noted in a separate post, I just dumped Bezos - at least he won't get his pound of flesh from me for the Prime membership. If I really get desperate, I can still order from Amazon, with the free shipping, by going over the $35/order point. But I'd have to have exhausted any other potential sources.
