3 More Sleeps

Is there a thread for this so I can say "congrats" and some other nonsense?

Yes and he's already past breakin
I have probably driven further in the last two days than the last two months, lol . I had my eyes on the road because of the rain and spray from some big trucks when the tach opened up so missed that but you can see that on YouTube ! Another 1400 km before full break in. But by the time I get home it should be close. No more torque and rpm restrictions anymore now though. Not that it matters as I have encountered rain since I left Edmonton. Haven’t been over 3500 rpm yet. Soon come though.

You can't. the landing gear would have folded up going sideways with all the weight back on them. As it is they will be changing out the rubber on a couple sets of wheels. He obviously figured he could pull it off but I bet his heart had a workout...

Now I know there are at least a few guys on here that are knowledgeable about flying (I'm not one of them), but shouldn't the pilot have known ahead of time this would happen?
To me it looks like a great recovery from an otherwise horrible take-off, but as a passenger, do you thank the pilot, or punch him in the throat?

Beside the Marriott off 97 ST NW Edmonton. Leaves on the trees ! We won’t see those for another two weeks up North.
They are a month behind where I am and noticing the trees in the background is why I asked.
I'm glad you finally got your car and Northgate ordered it correctly the second time for you and you got the colour you wanted before it was cancelled.
Hoping you have a memorable and uneventful drive home.

Thanks I appreciate that. When I left Yellowknife last Monday there were buds on the trees already. Should be popping by the time I get back on Tuesday. The last seven weeks have been excellent from a weather standpoint. Maybe five cloudy days and we are getting 18 hours of daylight right now, certainly helps. Incidentally , Northgate were a pleasure to deal with , very professional and attentive.

Hopefully it will get it out of its system now ... and the rest of the summer will be nice ... here in toronto ... May and June aren't always the greatest but at least we dont have these fires ... but we do get the smoke

Good luck ! ... and watch where you park that beast ... especially overnight ;)

We dont want any of this .....

Someone doors your car and flees. Is it a hit and run?
I’ve been doing a bit of an experiment. I have observed over the years that most people are creatures of habit and also tend to conform to societal norms. So , I have been parking with the yellow line or white line that delineates a parking space directly under the middle of the car taking up slightly less than half of two adjacent parking spaces. It seems invariably that the next drivers to come along park fully between the lines of the spaces to either side of mine . So far 100% . Obviously won’t work in a very full lot but if you can find three open go for it. Human nature can indeed be fascinating.
