Holy fork ! I guess that’s why it’s called “ Bring Cash “ …. So sadly the difference from Alberta is as large as I suspected. The PST in BC is a sliding scale based on the purchase price…ranging from 7% on cheapest cars to 20% on cars 150k or more!!

That’s why we can’t have nice things…..To show how rediculous this really is….increasing the price of your car about 25k from $124999 to $150000 results in a $50k increase in purchase price after taxes….View attachment 129151View attachment 129152
Not to mention that this is after tax dollars being taxed . Something wrong with this picture .To show how rediculous this really is….increasing the price of your car about 25k from $124999 to $150000 results in a $50k increase in purchase price after taxes….View attachment 129151View attachment 129152

This is so sad .... if your doing a deal at a stealership and it comes out to 55,001 you get dinged with an extra 1 % ..... then the wife pipes up and says she wants to add the automatic ass tickler as another option , it now brings the price to 56,001 you get ^%*^%^ with yet an extra 1% on top of that bringing your PST to now 9 % ... then it gets really stupid from thereThe PST in BC is a sliding scale based on the purchase price…ranging from 7% on cheapest cars to 20% on cars 150k or more!!
