2025 ZR1 Canadian pricing estimate

Chevrolet will begin accepting orders for the 2025 Corvette ZR1 in mid-February, at a starting MSRP* of $174,995 (including $1,695 DFC) for the 1LZ coupe and $184,995 (including DFC) for the 1LZ hardtop convertible. The 2025 Corvette ZR1 is available in two trims – 1LZ and 3LZ. All 2025 ZR1s come standard with:
  • A hand-assembled 1,064 hp twin-turbo V8 engine
  • Visible carbon fiber roof
  • Carbon ceramic brakes
  • Performance Data Recorder
  • Carbon fiber ground effects and side intakes
  • “ZR1 is an example of design and engineering excellence, one where we push the boundaries of what’s possible in terms of performance,” said Scott Bell, vice president of global Chevrolet. “It was important for us to stay true to Corvette’s promise of a vehicle whose world-class capabilities completely outmatch its price.”

    Performance Options

The ZR1 Carbon Fiber Aero Package (TOM), with an MSRP of $8,495, replaces the standard aero package and adds an aggressive, high-downforce rear wing, front dive planes, and a tall hood spoiler. The package also adds underbody strakes to increase downforce.

The ZTK Performance Package (ZTK), with an MSRP of $1,500, requires the Carbon Fiber Aero Package to unlock the ultimate track configuration. The ZTK package incorporates:
  • Stiffer springs and specific Magnetic Ride Control calibration
  • Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 R tires

2025 ZR1 prices just got announced:

1LZ Coupe starts at 175K
1LZ Convertible starts at 185K.

3LZ Convertible, 196K

175K USD is around 250K CAD right now, unless GM decides otherwise.
According to TD bank right now at 1.4827 ... 175k = 259472.50 .... oh lets not forget ALL your taxes ... ;)

GM hasn't finished testing the ZR1 and it will be another year before one arrives here in Canada. Nor have the bean counters sat down to figure out the costs on the car and what they will charge for it. For those that have deposits and think that they will be able to get an allocation I will give you what I estimate based on looking back at pricing for previous generations ZR1's.
The base price of the 2025 ZR1 without freight, dealer fees, or yet to be announced price increases for 2025 in Canada should start at:
Coupe 1LZ base price $191,099 CDN
HTC 1LZ base price $200,199 CDN
HTC 3LZ probably $250K and with all the taxes we pay here in B.C. = 20% (may be more?) + 5% + 20% federal = ouch!! I think if you could get one at MSRP it may be worth a lot in 10 years, but, not enough , I don't think to cover all the taxes we pay here?

A base 3LZ ZR1 convertible would be CAD$292000 with taxes in BC totalling CAD$103660 bringing the total to CAD$395660!!!View attachment 129143
So sad . You poor folks in BC are really getting hammered by taxation. Those percentages are really outrageous when you think about it. The same vehicle in the NWT or Alberta would cost $337260 . Now that’s reasonable! Lol . Actually even less when you consider that HST is also added to the luxury tax. Jesus .
In Canada, the luxury tax is applied before the Goods and Services Tax (GST) or Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). The luxury tax is calculated on the total price of luxury items exceeding specific thresholds ($100,000 for vehicles and aircraft, $250,000 for boats) and is then added to the price. GST/HST is subsequently calculated on the total price including the luxury tax.

Good observation. I should perhaps have checked @DonnieT ’s math . PST IN BC is 7% so that would be $20,440 not $58,400 . Still painful no matter how you look at it. I’ve only had one coffee so far.
