2025 Corvette SUV Will Be Built on Alpha Platform

Just like some who didn't approve of the change from round tail lights to the current model several years ago.
If it cuts in to "Corvette" production then that is really a NO-NO
Personally like my C7 rear lights over the round ones but am not enthused about the C8 or electric version nor the SUV version if it comes out.
Mind you, I wouldn't refuse a gift of a C8 either.
Corvette SUV would not be built at BG so it would not affect C8 production

And not to dwell on a sore subject with me.

Sigh. What to believe:

-"the Corvette SUV will be built on the Alpha platform" (Car and Driver)
-"there will be NO Corvette SUV, nor one built on the Alpha platform; it'll be an electric Corvette sedan instead" (Muscle Cars and Trucks)

Take your pick.

Here's what I believe: until we get an OFFICIAL announcement from GM, it's all just "click bait" and we might as well bury our heads in the sand and wait for this to actually happen, rather than jump all over these automotive rumours...

What if the SUV Corvette is a huge success.
What if people like this new vehicle
Good chance it will be build in Spring Hill, Tennessee, as is the XT5.
Maybe I will like it because of the V6 with twin turbo's for Cadillac with 460hp.
What if.........

Hard to believe we haven't seen camo'd test mules by now if this SUV really exists and is due out in the next year or so.

Who gives a flying f#%* about an SUV….

If it happens and you like it, buy it.

If you don’t like it, don’t buy it.

If it doesn't happen and you wanted it, tough….

If it doesn’t happen and you didn’t want it, you win….

What is the best oil for a C8?

The best oil for a C8 is the brand, type and viscosity that will be used in the future Corvette SUV, better get used to it just saying...

Fun fact, spoke to my dealer guy, who happens to personally own/drive a Caddy Escalade V, at $180K+tx, mean sound on that thing, great performance. His comment to me, he cannot wait to get rid of it because it just feels too big and boxy, no matter how cool the engine performance and exhaust sound is. I am not going to give away what SUV he would prefer to replace it with, to go along side his future E-Ray or Z06 (shhh it's a secret), but it would fit well alongside his C8 (which I think is going to be a trend with other C8 (and Cx) owners or those looking for a high performance family machine !! I expect wait lists for sure at the dealers, the question will be how crazy will the waitlists get, I guess we find out next year. I am trying to get on a list that does not exist yet so I can be #1. I know, nobody cares, and I will take that to bed with me tonight. :)

Not only C8 owners. I am certain there will be other Cx owners who would like to have 2 Corvettes in the garage. Ahem ... cough, cough ... like a certain C7 GS spice red top vert maybe ...

You're absolutely right, I edited my comment to include Cx (not just C8 owners). I know it will be a smaller truck from what I am used to, and cut down on cargo space, but that is the price to pay to have something look sports. Long or boxy SUVs are not as sporty.

Need to outsmart the crooks, see my post in the General section about tracking vehicles, heck even track my dogs via GPS trackers (paid sub). You need to be smart about how you track, if you read the thread I created you will understand the details. I sleep solid at night knowing that if ever they take the cars (Lexus IS, upcoming C8, future SUV vette), I will know where it is, even if they disconnect the battery. It's a game, and I like using tech to win at that game !! Well, not only tech, steering wheel bar and OBD port lock as well (triple play for me) !! And yes, all vehicle keys in faraday pouches at the front so cannot copy the signal, and double CCTV systems (Ring and Synology/Dahua cams). A little OCD, absolutely, like I said, sleep solid at night :)
