1st allocation of 2025

Actually the top Canadian dealer Wilson Niblett moving 146 units (as of August 17, 2024) for the 2024 model year is actually very impressive number if you look at the big picture of all of North America.

They are constantly hovering around 14-16 position on the 2814 total North American dealers listing on C8 Tracker. Impressive for a Canadian dealer let alone an American dealer with less than one tenth the market in Canada.
My point was that overall sales of the C8 are considerably lower than the Honda Civic for an example.

Not that impressive when you consider the population of Ontario is larger than 46 U.S. states.

Murray, just remember we and the rest of the world get to split about 9% of the cars each year. If the US dealers don't get what they want first, they lose it with GM!

I'm fully aware. As is GM when it comes to Ontario.

My first was a 2020 and my second was a 2023 and yes both factory orders.
2020 was first year so any dealer would take an order blankly if the customer backs out they can easily sell it. 2023 was a questionable year with so many being produced and lists being non existent to very small. I imagine dealer did not ask a deposit for ordering due to the fact your thier previous Corvette customer.

Received my VIN today, when will I get the car ?
Talking about Wilson-Niblett, they had a car I was interrested in and asked if they would let it go to my dealer and their answer was no. About two months ago. To don't seem to be stock with their cars.

That's because they would lose an allocation if they gave it to your dealer. Your dealer would get credit for the sale with GM and not them.

Mr. Corvette do you know how long it could be before I get the car now that we have a serial number ? 000317 is early isn't it ?
If your in the Ottawa area did you buy from an Ontario dealer in Ottawa? If production next week continues as it did this week, your car should be built next Friday, late in the second shift would be my guess at this point.

Ok thanks ! No, bought it where I use to live up north in Quebec. Nicol Auto inc in La Sarre, a small town. They only have four allocation per year. I ordered it before I moved here.
That adds 3 weeks to your delivery time. I would expect your car to arrive the first to second week of October. Any reason why you didn't reach out to me in the spring to get you a car out of one of the dealerships I have contacts at in Ottawa? I don't know what you ordered but chances are it's not one of the new colours.

I sold a car I had and it's been given in trade to save taxes at my dealer. And also I wanted one with my specific options. I looked at other dealers only when I learned I would not get a silver flare because of 2025. But I finally opted for a white.
