1st allocation of 2025

Not sure who you were speaking to at Brian Cullen but what you are saying here is not accurate.
Dealerships can lose there franchise agreements by selling over MSRP. Used cars are different, they go by market value pricing.
Some dealers do have owners or employees that get first crack on new models instead of giving orders to past customers.
Brian Cullen's sales manager has a C8 and is also the president of the local Corvette club. Perhaps you can speak to how your local
dealers do business in Alberta but that's not how it's done here. If Brian Cullen wants the first C9, that's totally understandable just like
Morgan Crosbie and Jordan Finch did in my hometown here by taking the first two C8's that Finch Chevrolet got back in 2020.
Your right about 2023 Z06's with the constraints on the Z07 package. Many people on lists waited to to get one which pushed them into 2024.
When did you get your 2020 C8? I didn't luck out as everything was available when my dealer ordered the first one for me including the red engine
cover and some of the exterior carbon fiber options. My 2020 ended up with over 39K in options before any of the price increases.

Jeff and Tracy on numerous occasions who from what I've been are both the Corvette specialists. Also Joe Bello on a couple occasions the new sales manager. "Dealerships can lose there franchise agreements by selling over MSRP". I have no idea who or where you got that info from but that's nonsense. I am more familar with Western than Eastern Canada. Jack Carter, Wolfe Automotive, Sherwood Chev/Kelowna Chev, Wheaton Group, Capital, and Northgate are the top selling dealers in Western Canada. Only Jack Carter and Northgate sell at MSRP supposedly. The largest Corvette dealer in Western Canada is Sherwood Chev who is under the same ownership of Kelowna Chev. Both these dealers have been selling Corvettes over MSRP since day 1. C8 Stingrays were only at MSRP in 2024, and before that it was all 30K over premiums minimum and reduced over the years. Many Z06's they have sold for 80K-100K over sticker. Wheaton, Wolfe, etc all do the same market pricing/dealer adjustments. No one is loosing there franchise agreements nor does GM care. Heck GM was more concerned with people reselling there Z06's in 2023 by voiding there warranty if sold within 6 months than actually putting policies to force dealers to sell at MSRP. Brian Cullen and other MSRP dealers just brainwash customers "oh those dealers who charge over MSRP will get penalized, loose allocations, etc". 5 years later with charging over MSRP these so called over MSRP dealers still remain at the top with the most allocations. Nothing changes.......

Your referring of a select few dealers mainly Brian Cullen but fail to grasp that there so many other dealers especially in the Ontario or Eastern Canada that aren't as ethical or follow MSRP. How far was your 2020 into the 2020 year to get no constraints and I feel as you got special treatment with all your referral sales/past purchases and they gave you an allocation with no constraints versus a normal customer.

Yeah TPW got pushed to July 22, but it didnt even get produced on the week of the TPW but a week later, so that was weird .
So it shouldn't be long now before you receive your car. It sounds like your car started to get produced when my order went in. Best of luck to you!

When your car hits 3000 status you will get a tentative TPW, not sure about the TPW they gave you now. I had some bogus TPW one month later on all the Corvettes I've bought and its never that date.

Sounds like poorly order cars with colours or options that the original buyers walked away from and
now they will dump them to save carrying costs.
Not really. Various dealers do this on in stock units and even orders. I’ve seen few dealers at $10,000 off. Even on bad customer builds the dealers already got an $5,000 non refundable deposit, so it’s not a huge impact if they’re stuck keeping it to sell after.

Disagree, not all dealers in our market have been getting 5K non refundable deposits. Dealers are also not offering these kind of discounts on factory orders.
The ad says on "Select" in stock-models for a reason. This dealer has had one tenth of the allocations of the big dealers here and at this point they are trying to dump this car as they don't want to get stuck with it as I believe they only have 2 cars in stock.

Never seen a single dealer order a customer specific car without taking a non refundable deposit that’s got to be the stupidest thing to do business wise unless it’s literally a first year super hot vehicle that can sell to anyone regardless of spec.

There are tons of dealers offering discounts on factory orders just like there tons doing them on in stock. Just cause a dealer isn’t advertising anything doesn’t mean it’s not there. Alot of dealers just avoid advertising deals/specials cause it’s prevents customers taking there deal/special and price shopping and buying elsewhere.

They are showing 3 Stingrays and 1 E-Ray in stock on their website. The Stingrays are nicely equipped 2 and 3LT coupes.

Not trying to start an argument but I had a coffee with a top 25 dealer last week and he said that Stingrays are just not selling at any price today. He said he will not be ordering as many Stingrays for stock as he did this year and actually declined allottment on the last order cycle. He will be happy to do custom orders but isnt stocking much next year.

There seems to be many sitting on lots right now.
I bought a new Denali this week and Robinson in Guelph had
6 on their lot. Driving past Stricklands today and they have 4
out front.
Prices will fall as dealers will want to put the
investment into cars that will sell over the winter months.

Well go figure. This is the fifth year of availability for the C8 . Most people who really wanted one have one. And they aren’t inexpensive so you are looking at a very small potential clientele of vehicle purchasers. #25 on the list of Corvette dealers have moved 25 units. #1 has moved 146 units. Still not a big number.

Early adopters of everything pay a premium. Supply and demand as well as “ I want it now, can afford it, and don’t care “ .

What deal below MSRP did you score if you don’t mind me asking?

Actually the top Canadian dealer Wilson Niblett moving 146 units (as of August 17, 2024) for the 2024 model year is actually very impressive number if you look at the big picture of all of North America.

They are constantly hovering around 14-16 position on the 2814 total North American dealers listing on C8 Tracker. Impressive for a Canadian dealer let alone an American dealer with less than one tenth the market in Canada.
