Thanks to this thread .....I did the multiple figure "8"s right after leaving the dealership with my 2024. Only 200Km on the car so far but all seems good.
I know it was built on Monday Oct 2nd and haven’t heard to much about it lately. I have my vin (salesman text) and the window sticker from online. We’ll see what happens when it’s here.
My 2023 spec'd car was $105,939. When my 2024 allocation came in, I budgeted for a $2,500 increase (it was $1,800 in the USA)
My 2024 spec'd car is now $117,459.
Chevrolet Canada Customer Service will not do anything about this bloated increase.
Money I don't have to spend on this car unfortunately.
Saw Dealer yesterday and here's what I found out.......
1) My trade-in from Nov 2021 is still valid for this C8 purchase.
2) I cannot make changes to my 2024 order as it is at Status 3000
3) They will not negotiate with me on the 2024 $12,000 price increase.
4) They will refund my $2500 deposit...
I haven’t talked to them yet ….. my salesman is on vacation this week.
I did look up on line that without a signed Purchase Agreement…… the dealer must refund the deposit. OMVIC Faq section.
I didn't have a purchase agreement to sign as they didn't know the 2024 prices, I guess.
I traded in a car at the time of putting down my $2500 deposit, so the deposit was shown as part of that agreement. I actually debted the deposit money to them.
