So, last year we had a hilarious glitch where we all wished Nik a happy birthday, however! It turned out to be the birthday of the admin account he took over to do all this awesome work to the forum, lol. So now, I got another notification that it is Nik's birthday. So Nik, Happy Birthday!!!!! Or did we get fooled once again by the forum history?

CCF Members, Myself and @Riley P have been doing a wee bit of work behind the scenes to further expand and enhance the CCF forums, bring in some more fresh faces and more exclusive deals for CCF members. The net result are some drastic changes that will if all goes to plan kick off in the upcoming weeks and complete in time for our great hibernation of 2015. Without divulging too much of the plan we're looking at opening certain forums to a significantly wider/global audience whilst retaining what makes CCF great, which is our Canadian focus. This should not impact regular CCF forums in any way aside from potentially seeing a bigger influx of global vette owners in certain non-country specific forums i.e. Corvette Tech, C6, C7 etc...

Hi Everyone! I just want to pass along the exciting news that Owais will be back and actively involved with our forum again! This is great news as we all know what an outstanding member he was on the forum with the abundance of help and fantastic service he provided whether or not he was involved with selling the vehicle. In an effort to cleanup some languishing sub-forums we've started cleaning up and re-organizing things a little bit. Effective 5 mins ago the following forums have been merged and 'disappeared'. Northern Canada is now gone - if you feel strongly about it please buy a vert and drive it up to the Yukon, take pics and we will gladly put the forum back. Pics with shorts on will make you a lifetime honorary member. :) Travel forum is now merged with General Lifestyle. If you have travel related tips please use the General Lifestyle forum from now on. Big day for most of you out at various events so took the opportunity to do more changes to make the forums easier to navigate. Here are the notable ones you may have already seen. 1. New menu bar with all your favourite forum options is now available beneath the original menu (the red bar) for both regular desktop and mobile users 2. Media gallery is now fixed *hopefully* completely. Now when you go into an image you have a whole range of options available such as tagging members, cropping images, using image as avatar, moving images to different albums and more. See screenshot for an example. 3. Made option to add media as Full Image as opposed to thumbnail more visible. When you upload media you will see two buttons [Thumbnail]...

We've created Global Albums that are accessible to all to post your event pics should you wish to do so. New Media Categories are currently called: 1. Ponoka 2. Dasilva 23rd May You may contribute pics to them by going to the Media Gallery->Add Media->Choose a Site Category (instead of your own Album). Makes it easier to keep common pics in one place.

Well I am still trying to navigate around the new site. Lots of work guys, it must have been a busy weekend. So in wandering around I found the "Members" tab, clicking on that I found a Most Messages section and that is where the trouble started. It appears that if you are under 1000 posts you are merely a "well known member" however if you are above you become "Opinionated". Well who knew there were opinionated people on a web site forum. (smiley face) My wife tells me I too am "opinionated" but it usually has a different context as in "why don't you take your opinion and shove it" type of phrase. So if we under 1000 posts know what is good for us we will think long and hard at post 999. If I could find the smiley faces I would...

First of many styling tweaks have just hit the forum. First change as you may have noticed is a dark navigation menu/bar (as opposed to the white one). I've also made the Forum/Media/Members drop-down menu easier to select/hover over to reveal some of the options. If anything looks funky drop me a note. Working on some more tweaks tomorrow.

I just want to welcome everyone to the new layout. Nik did come fabulous work and put in a lot of time to get this created for us. I notice that the look is quite different and buttons/features are not where they used to be. However, I've only been on with my phone so far and the features with navigation I've been finding are great! If you are looking for a feature and can't find it, let us know and we'll help you out. I'm looking forward to keeping up conversations with everyone and having more new conversations with everyone in the future. I'm sure as we all use the forum and the new features available, it'll feel more and more like home.

I would like to announce the rolling out of two things and I entirely have to thank the forum and the caliber of members we get on here. For example: Over the past month I've been talking with our member, ichpen as he approached me and has graciously offered to become a supporting vendor of the forum. Along with adding some good content to the forum every month for us, he is also going to bring the forum out of the early 2000's and bring it up to where it should be. What does that mean for us? This will result in quicker speeds, much better reliability, much better technical support, and the forum will now be much more mobile friendly among many other features (such as having the ability to do instant messaging) which will...
