I just wanted to let everyone that our new sister site, The Canadian GM Forums has now opened! There you can start discussions on all of your GM products! Enjoy! <a href="http://www.canadiangmforums.com"><img src="http://www.canadiancorvetteforums.com/forums/cyb_banners/gmforums.jpg" border="0" alt="Canadian GM Forums" /></a>
Another fresh feature for you CCF lovers. I've just rolled out awards and medals. It's a fun and totally non-gamified way 🤣 of earning achievements and medals on CCF and have them proudly show up on your profile and message postbit. Currently all awards are granted automatically based on a mysterious blend of wind and fumes (the names are a bit of a giveaway) so you do not need to request them as they will be granted when you hit the relevant criteria. In future we will be launching one time or single use awards that will allow you to either request or nominate your favourite CCF member. Based on predefined criteria and a bit of discretion we (mods and I) will duly act on this and probably grant them out of laziness. We will continue...
Article Threads Our first of many HYT (Have You Tried) threads that will hopefully explain new and old CCF timers how to navigate and utilize some of CCF's unique and new features. First up are article threads. Article threads are a special type of thread that anyone can compose in forums where this thread type is enabled (which is most of them at this stage). These threads are very much suited to more blog like posts (greater length, formatting and image content payloads). In addition article threads: 1. Add the original post as a sticky article at the very top of each thread so even if you're 5 pages in you can always refer to the original article and navigate to it. 2. Add special formatting if they are created in special...
CCF is proud to announce that our very own Derek (@ddgermann ) has become our first Forum Member sponsor of none other than the C7 Z06 Forum. Derek has been donating very regularly over the years and has elected to opt into our Account Upgrades which entitles him to some additional forum perks in exchange for his regular monthly donations. His name appearing under the relevant forum banner on the main page being one of those perks. As a reminder account upgrades are yet another option to give back to CCF and get some forum perks in return. You don't need to upgrade to donate as we have regular donations as well as apparel sales over at corvette.clothing to help support the site. All of which are appreciated equally. For more details...
Sometimes when doing our chores here as Mods and Admins we come across this message in various locations: Current Activity: Unknown Location /forums/mobiquo/mobiquo.php Has anyone seen this before in their travels either here, or on another v-bulletin forum, and do you know what it means (other than the obvious). It's strange. It's almost as if recognizes that someone is here but doesn't know where they are. Comments.. C. Ok -- after googling this it appears to be related to tapatalk app on some phones IE-- mobile activity. https://support.tapatalk.com/threads/vbulletin-4-whos-online-unknown-location.1132/ Interesting -- So if you see it then you'll know what it is. LOST: One set of Corvette Keys (Intelligent key) and small door key at our COPING event on Saturday. If anyone has discovered that they may have picked up a Corvette fob on a keyring with another smaller key perhaps thinking that they were their own while purchasing tickets at the Coping tent, would they please call me (Colin) at 519-623-3898 (home and message machine) or Glenn and Roslyn Crichton of the COPING Center: 519-650-0852 or 1-877-554-4498 ... right away please. Thanks everyone. They really need to be located quickly and are needed right away. Much obliged Colin.
Well I am still trying to navigate around the new site. Lots of work guys, it must have been a busy weekend. So in wandering around I found the "Members" tab, clicking on that I found a Most Messages section and that is where the trouble started. It appears that if you are under 1000 posts you are merely a "well known member" however if you are above you become "Opinionated". Well who knew there were opinionated people on a web site forum. (smiley face) My wife tells me I too am "opinionated" but it usually has a different context as in "why don't you take your opinion and shove it" type of phrase. So if we under 1000 posts know what is good for us we will think long and hard at post 999. If I could find the smiley faces I would...
