"Zoom" thoughts for virtual Meet-up

I admit that I am putting some confidence that zoom will keep things
simple for all who want to participate regardless of
Computer & Device knowledge and ability. The Host (initially myself) will
be able to accept those who are invited and not accept
someone who is unknown (should one show up at the door).
Within the "meeting" nothing will be regulated until we see
how things go. An example of this was in the Zoom School
Classroom where the Host (Teacher) has to now mute all the
classroom participants until called upon. This way not everyone
can speak at the same time - it can apparently be quite a zoo
when that happens - we can start and adapt ....

Paul, Al, Derek, Spence and myself..
The quality was excellent, we solved a few World problems and got to see some new faces too.
And Derek all the way from somewhere over there ...
It worked well. I hope we do this again.

Glad this worked out for you gents. In future for anyone wanting to organize these you can setup a one time or recurring Event (in our Events calendar) that folks can RSVP to. Our events calendar needs some love after the crater of everything being cancelled so I'm actively asking everyone to plug in things they'd like to host with the greater community. Weekly calls, gaming events etc. Anything that's open to everyone.

Just drop in the details, and external link to the Zoom number. If you have a password setup do share that privately.

Speaking of the events calendar, it might save a lot of mouse clicks if the contributing members edited the headings if their event has been cancelled. Just a thought.
