That's a good trick........
He did it all himself and sent the tapes out to multiple recording companies. There's a good video about it with him on Youtube. I found it the other day.
The writer of Boston's "More Than a Feeling" is Tom Scholz, the band's founder, guitarist, and primary songwriter. Scholz, an MIT-trained engineer, wrote the song and meticulously crafted it in his basement studio over five years before its release in 1976.
