Your favorite driving tunes

Great stuff Bill... They all bring back some memories... Some good.... some bad....I turned 21 to Dream Weaver..... Was sad losing Janis..... Here's a song with a ton of history... started as 5 lines by Dylan in 73....

I listen to 70's/ 80's rock and i also listen to trance. When my gf's lil girl is out cruising with me we mostly listen to trance. When it's the three of us together in my suv or her car we are usually listening to my gf's music which consists of more current pop/rock.

i have a feeling someone needs to explain to me what 'trance' is..... of course I did grow up in the 60's. There may have been a trance or two i was in back then that has left my memory.... lol...

Trance is electronic dance music. Really big in Europe during the '90's.

It's ok. Was popular in some of the bars I went to back then, mosty Raves if I am remembering correctly, but for the life of me, I can't think of any artist or group that played Trance from that era. Like you, most of the 90's is a bit of a haze for me as well.

You are right, it's not as big as it is like in Europe or the U.S. Vancouver is part of most of the popular dj's venue stops which is cool. I've gone to 14 shows over the past four years and hey it's good times . The crowds aren't as huge like it would be at an ACDC concert but a big enough crowd that the dj's keep coming back.

okey dokey.... I have to admit that I'm a bit intrigued by this Trance music discussion so decided to do a bit of research.... first wikipedia.... then to youtube and actually listen to some tracks... OK....Mississippi Delta Blues it isn't.... No one sold their soul to the Devil at the Crossroads .... And we are not going to hear any Country artists laying down many Trance beat vocal tracks about mama, trucks, trains, getting drunk, or prison, but I gotta say... It's definitely upbeat.... and not totally hard to listen to... for short periods that is... A bit repetitive for my liking but i can see it being big in the dance scene and it would be a great music for an energetic Tae Bo exercise class...lol... Not my style I guess but I can understand the attraction for the under 60 crowd..... :p
