Murray & Doug -- George Th. and the Destr. along with Johnny Winter + others will be in Owen Sound in June. Just heard that this morning thought you and Doug would like to know.

Would love to see that myself .

Just a clarification guys.... That will no doubt be a great show but Johnny Winter died in 2014. This show will be his slightly younger brother Edgar. Still not to be missed as these old Rock and Rollers are starting to disappear....

Wow. Close to home stuff Colin. I grew up just the road from the Henman family. They use to play at our high school dances back in the late 60's........ Still friends with their younger sister... she is very talented as well....

I have lots of fond memories of the Halifax/Dartmouth area and on down to Lunenburg and even further down to Yarmouth, and across the way to Digby and the other side of Fundy in St. John and Moncton. Love NS/NB

Betting NS and indeed Canada is very proud of our April Wine. They have played what I really like.

Would love to see them in June at Kelso along with GT and EW.. tho not sure if it's feasible. Will have to wait and see.

Any chance that you'll be in Ontario at that time Eric?

I would love to be in Ontario at that time but it's not going to happen this year Colin. I just got back from a month in Australia, have a northern Manitoba fishing trip first week of June, a week in Vancouver in August for a family 60th Anniversary, A week in NS in September to see my Dad, and 11 days in hunting camp in October. And although it certainly doesn't sound like it, I also have a full time job....lol... (there are some perks having 35 years seniority)..... What I would like is to do a road trip to Ontario. Would really like to meet a bunch of you guys in person and have a sister in Ottawa. So that plan is on my radar for the very near future. And I know what you mean about the East too... :)

Colin.... The next time you get a spring snowstorm, before you post another Summer's Gone song on the forum, for Gawd's sake pm me. I will come down to Cambridge all the way from Alberta and shovel for you....... Either that or author another thread called 'Your Least Favorite Driving Tunes'..... ... :eek::eek:.... lol.... By the way, sorry to hear about your snowstorm... saw the pictures....

LOL Eric, It was a doozy fer sure ....... had a sore back for a day or 2 as a result.

Beach Boys is a no-go? how about a little Blind Lemon to sooth yer soul:

 
No No.... the Beach Boys are great Colin.... It's the whole Summer's Gone idea I wasn't thrilled about.... That will come soon enough without singing about it in April.... lol.... And the blues sooth my soul anytime at all.... unless I hear them sing Summer's Gone...... in April..... This time of year, this is the Beach Boys I prefer....

That's the point Eric -- Spring and summer have gone!!!!---- Cancelled -- now we in southern ON are back into winter. BTW it went down to -12C last night coupled with about 6" of snow in the last few days. and they've plastered the streets with salt again after they were all nice and clean ......:Arghh:

very S.A.D. --- Don't worry -- I'll snap out of it soon -- I hope.
