I do not know of a better oil for the Z06. Perhaps some of the other guys have an oil they prefer.
I agree that putting in the best oil for the heat is the right first step.
@Wilbergz. This is a hot subject (pun intended)... You will find a different answer and solution around every corner. Which is the right answer? If you strike upon it, let the rest of the world know please. The latest has been run 0-40 Mob 1 and you should be good to 280 F. And change your oil at the 50% mark as a minimum depending on how often you track your car.
The C7 ZO6 has a tendency to run on the Hot side anyway. I would assume if you are tracking the car it would best to get something to handle the heat more the Mobile1, which is used in most Vettes.
Quick phone call ... Spring Mountain - Ron Fellows Program ... see if they have a tech that may be very helpful ....
(although please know that they set up cars differently for different uses in the Corvette Owner School - might not with the Mobil 1 though)
