Transmission ? Help please!!!

Does any one know if a 2008 Z08 transmission hook
up to a 2007 coupe motor?
I blew the transmission in my '07 and can get a 08 Z06
trans from a friend of a friend but need to know if it can
be bolted together!! Or go with a stock trans, which
will cost me more money???

Yes it will bolt right up .

Not sure what you're planning to do with the car or what your budget might be but being it currently isn't in the car and if you have access to someone with the experience, I would suggest obviously an upgraded clutch, at LEAST machine the flywheel (or an upgrade) and possibly upgrading the shift forks and synchros in the tranny. The parts to upgrade the internals aren't anywhere near as prohibitive as the costs of taking it out later to do so. If you're staying at your current power level though, only the clutch and flywheel are the crucial points.

Not sure if those year trans still came with aluminum forks from factory or not...

All
06-up Z06
09-up ZR1
10-up GS
06-up A6's
All are 30 spline....
Everything else is 27 spline
