I started taking apart my TPI and got a good look at the mouse house.

I pulled it all out.

I have a question? What is this sensor on the bottem of the plenum and does it need to be plugged in? I have no check engine lights and it runs strong? Is it emissions or something? I don't see a plug around it but it might be tucked away somewhere and someone forgot to plug it back in.

Is it normal for a TPI plenum and runners to be that dirty inside? Lots of black crud I am swapping in new runners and plenum that are super clean. I was thinking I should gain a little more air.

I also found the screens still in the MAF, I will cut them out too.

I would imagine it would be pretty normal for the plenums to be dirty. As for the plug on the bottom side of the plenum, I am all ears waiting to hear what that is for.
