TIRES

Here in Calgary I buy my Michelins from Costco for the C6 and get them mounted by the dealer, Costco cost is usually about $1,000 current pricing unknown as this was about two (2) summers ago.

Good luck JSH. Give CTC a shot as well, surprised at how competitive they were.

Let us know how you make out with your tire selection.

There is a mile long thread on that subject somewhere here.
here you go, the audi jack works well on C7......... I dont have one anymore......... should work on C6/C5 as well......

I got one of those Audi style aluminum jacks. Posted the results of my first jacking attempt. I obviously didn't get the right jack although it looked the part. The jack broke and literally blew out from under the car. Glad I wasn't in the way or had the wheel off. By Vette season I will have the one Turbozig was talking about in the other thread. I should have had it on board for this past season. If you search low Profile Billet Aluminum Scissor Jack , he has some really good pictures of it.

The biggest problem you will have searching for C5 tires is the 17” dia fronts.
17” dia tires of the wide variety have mostly been discontinued from manufacturers.
COSTCO sent me on my way as they could not supply 265 or 275 17” fronts.
good luck with your search.

Some of our members have already been to Burning Rubber and been very happy. One comment was “ They are a small shop with great equipment and knew what they were doing”..... New shop in same complex is 8500 square feet. This is the front waiting area etc. With tons more equipment.

I got my Michelin PS AS3+ from Canadian Tire...delivered in about 2 weeks
They have the 17" and 18" as well
I can get my Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 any day of the week at Canadian Tire as well. I have the stock 245's on the front. What Graham was saying is that they don't have 265 or 275/17's along with a lot of other places.

Just as a comparison, here is the delivered price to my door for a set of Michelin PS 4S tires.
I had them installed on my wheels and Road forced balanced for $96.60 tax incl. at Coast Tire
Total cost was$1719.11

I could not find anyone locally to even come close to this price by a longshot. When I tried to get them to even come close to the PMC price, they just said, you better buy them there.... That's what we have to deal with. Granted, in the Maritimes, it's harder to get great deals due to the lack of competition, so PMC was the place for me to get the best deal by far.
For Michelin tires installed, that's a great price.
