Hey guys. Got an 07 z which is in need for some new tires. Currently have the super sport pilot 2's on it, wanting to try something different.
Has anyone tried the nitro invos, if so what was the outcome? It's a toss up for me between those 2. Looking for someone who had experience with both!
Thanks!

My experience has been limited to PSS and Goodyear. I have heard good things about Nitro Invos and I want to get a new set of tires for my original rims. Will watch with interest on your choice and how you like them.

A great economical high performance all season Is the Continental DWS 06. I am very pleased with them and a great price thru 1010 tires or Quattro tires.

I've heard a lot of positive reviews on the Nitto's however, I personally feel like they were an excellent tire 5 years ago (and still are) but tire technology has moved forward and there are better tires these days.
My friend put on Toyo 888's on his Corvette to handle the 732 rwhp. He stated they offered good grip.

Riley, I have heard that his car only puts out 731 rwhp.

Constantly evolving tire technology, what is perfect today is outdated tomorrow.

Now it's toss up between the PS 2's. Nitto 555 g2 or nitto invo. Anyone have experience with either?
Thanks

. A number of years ago I bought an 05 Z51 that just had brand new Firestone Wide Oval runflats. These tires were specifically made for the vette and they were very good. Firestone doesn’t sound like a sport tire but all around they were excellent.

I just bought these Firestone Indy 500s. Great deal and as good as MPSS for sure. Nice street tire and terrific value

I have been running with a set of Nitto Invos for 5+ seasons. I have been pretty happy with them. Once the tires are warm, they are quiet, have good stick, and they handle great in the rain, which is important to me. I am a little disappointed with the initial stick, so launching in first gear generates a bit more wheelspin than I would like to see, but with 500 lb-ft, I suspect that's going to happen with most tires. Once they are warmed up though, the wheelspin is greatly reduced and I can launch with a fair bit of pedal.

Overall, good tire and good longevity. An excellent value.

I go with the Michelin A/S 3's non run flats, great tire, quite, smoother ride compared with the OEM's for regular driving, softer rubber required for competition, again that enters into whole different set of parameters, depending on what type of competition and weather you work in.

I’m running the Michelin PSS. Took the SC2s off before I picked up the car.
Like @Jeremiad s cold they are sketchy but warmed up they are great. I pushed these tires to the limit at Spring Mountain and was highly impressed.
With mag ride they are smooth enough for me. They are a bit noisy though but so far it’s not a deal breaker for me.

That's good to know, Derek! After Timmy got a new set of PSS, his car hooked amazing and had me thinking that I'm going to go with the PSS next. His car is auto though, and his launch is substantially different. I may try them anyway, but I do value the importance of the tires being quiet. Of course with 1-7/8 longtubes, Corsa Extreme exhaust and no cats, what exactly is quiet anyway?
