I don't know if it's the legalizing of pot or the Russians have spiked the water.

I went to McDonald's and bought a coffee ,gave the cashier $2 she gave me back $5.(left the 5 in the animal rescue jar)

I asked a guy selling news papers who was very busy if he had two tens for a five and he gave it to me .(I gave it back)

Stopped at Denny's for breakfast at 3am and I was doing small talk with the waitress.I explained that I had a very sad childhood growing up as my mother died two months before I was born .She started to cry and got all emotional .

When asked where I'm from I say that I was born North of Canada And you should here the reply's ".Ya I've been up there fishing " or Ya ,I use to go camping up there with the family "or "I've been up there it darn cold" ( I think all these people we're from New Jersey) Then ya really get into the conversation like I use to have to walk 40 miles south to get to the north pole .

These are all true occurrences and in a way it's sad

Then my wife and she is very smart and doesn't do drugs :I get request to do a talk radio show today because I employ all disabled Veterans .Wife says "oh thats good your not going to say anything are you?"

Steve -- you're breaking me up here........LOL, you're a born comedian, or is it that you're just plain nuts..........

Keep 'em coming.

Colin.

Colin ,It's a cross between cabin fever and winter boredom .The car doesn't come out for another 40 days .With a newer car there really is no maintenance to do other than a few routine items .

Hahahaha! Oh that is too funny!

It reminds me of when my friends were at a bar and standing outside the door having a smoke.....in Santa Claus outfits. They saw some guys coming up to the bar and asked them for their I.D. And as the first guy was reaching for their wallets, my friend piped up and said "It's a three dollar cover." to which my other friend or you can get two for ten dollars. Well, the first guy gave him a $10 and same with the other guys. They thought it was hilarious until when finishing their cigarette, they looked inside to see the guys pointing at them down the hallway. Needless to say, the kids got their money back but the story is still good!

I've had this a couple times but I just like how if something comes to $7.16 and you give them a $10 and the register shows to give back $2.86, if you then give the kid $0.16 or $0.26 so to not get a bunch of change back (when we had the penny), they stop and you can see the wheels turning. I usually wait 5 seconds then just say, you should be giving me $3.00 or $3.10 back and they stop for a second to think about it but you can see the confusion on their face as they start to count in their head so they stop because it's taking too long and they just go with what you say and give you the proper change. :D

The mother dying bit basically happened in BC not too long ago actually (brain dead but kept her on life support until the baby was viable and was delivered by C-section.)

Have had the same McDonald's experience too!

Very funny!

This is true and a good thing ,happens more and more .

The circumstances of my mothers death was she was eaten by a polar bear .Scared the chit out of me .:(

But the Polar Bear was polite tho right? If so it was one of ours.

I can't really remember much ,i ended up hiding among the arctic rocks eating snow till i was 14 years old when I learned to walk . I think thats why when I'm in Florida with my shirt off that people ask me ,are you Canadian?:D

Those are awesome. Had some funny experiences like that to. People are either really busy or else the population we deal with on a daily basis are getting more dumb. I am trying really hard to raise my kids with some brains and common sense.

I only did fair raising mine and I admit it .I have a live in grandson that I'm doing much better with him .My advice is spend quality time and get them involved in something .Finely talk and listen to them .

Good for you Steven......bringing up children is not an easy job and requires much patience and, as you say, much quality time talking, training and listening.

You're not alone, I did only a mediocre job of bringing mine up, tho he is independent and has a decent job and family.

Some human nature and compassion traits did escape him tho.

Oh well, I'm glad he's not a 'loser druggie' or in jail -- and he has produce some grandkids too.:D

I felt lucky that neither boy got pregnant and I didn't have to post bail although close on both issues .
