Help Squeaky shocks

Is there anything that can be done for squeaky shocks, at home, knowing I don't own a car lift?
At very low speed, such as parking the car, if I hit a bump, the squeaking makes the car sound so cheap!
Any suggestion?

Probably not..maybe shock replacement might be in your future. Are you sure it's not sway bar end links? The rubber on the ends of those tend to dry out and may be the squeek you are hearing..just a possibility.

Not a big expense to replace all of them and you can do yourself without a ramp, if you do your own maintenance

I'm by no means a mechanic, but I do basic maintenance. I looked up the symptoms of bad sway bar end links (new to me, thanks OL Yeller) but it doesn't seem to be the case. Nevertheless, I'll get a wheel off the ground as soon as I get a chance and check those rubbers. It is a 20 year old car after all!
