Spring Mountain Trip Live sort of

Agreed. But I did fly to LAX and found LA to be quite strict on protocols, which was a good thing.
I didn't say the officials aren't trying ;)
It's the great unwashed that don't listen.
Funny, on MECF I wondered why there was so little concern for others with social distancing and I got one guy telling me I shouldn't dismiss his rights to do what he wanted to do. (I made the language a little nicer then he used on me)

So I just spent a night here at the Pahrump Holiday Inn Express. This is our go to hotel on our road trips usually as they are quite clean and usually new and have a free breakfast buffet. So the buffet is now closed and your meal is put together by a lone operator in full gloves and mask. Still not a bad fill up when road tripping.
By comparison, my breakfast at the Marriott yesterday was marginally better but cost me $26 US with tip.

Oh, thank you. Is it better than Corvette Forum? Those guys are brutal...
This , of course, is the best forum, but MECF doesn't allow any nasty stuff at all. It's American so one has to allow some idiosyncrasys because of the different cultures, but all in all it's decent place.

Agreed, decent folk on MECF. John is a very diligent moderator and will not tolerate any trash talking of GM or BGA too. Lots of frustrated buyers that wanted to lash out at GM did not get far with that on MECF. Good information available from so many on options, upgrades, tricks etc.

Oh another tip for any flying AC in the near future. They will hand you a sealed plastic bag at the start of the flight. It appears to be simply a water and some COVID related PPE. You can see a mask, gloves, hand sanitizer. What you can't see is that there is also a bag of pretzels and the ear buds. No contents listed and I did not open my bag during flight as I had my own mask and water separately. I had to fly for 4 plus hours trying to lip read Matt Damon and Christian Bale in Ford vs. Ferrari. Good thing I had seen the movie about 10 times previously. Haha. So Tip, open the bag. Normally I use my own noise cancelling headphones but I forgot to pack my cord to connect to the inflight system. My phone's playlist was all I could get with the bluetooth. Planes really need to get up to speed with wifi or bluetooth connectivity.

When does the track time start?
Not sure exactly but seems to be morning classroom and afternoon track time on both days.
I will post any detailed agenda when I get one. Here is what I have. Good to note that you do need a car here to get around the property. So don't plan on cabbing it. I am sure that fellow classmates would normally offer rides but these are different times.

Additional Insurance Optional. So I understand that, if you wreck the car, you are getting the bill. They do offer the ability to purchase additional coverage and I fully intend to buy it. To each their own. I think you may find that your own vehicle insurance will not cover any use of cars on tracks or racing. So don't rely on your existing coverage to step up.

I find it odd that they limit the SD card size to 32 gig.
I think that they simply did not update the brochure to the new C8's and it is a carry over from the C7 program. I have a 256 gig card in my car at home. So surely we know the C8's can take higher capacity cards. Having said that, as a Canadian that follows rules, I brought a 16 gig card with me. Just had a spare one kicking around the office.

The class/track routine in the past was 45 minutes cycles. Going to be tough to spend a half day listening to an instructor and a half day on the track will require a lot of energy. I found the track time to be tiring on the arms, and chest muscles. Most participants do not take the extra insurance. It is rare for a SM car to be damaged during the training.
