That is some eye candy! That cam in the Z06 is absolutely wicked! I have a question on the CF air bridge near your bottom picture. I have the same setup with that air bridge and VR intake. Were there issues getting it to all fit so the air bridge would sit on the radiator? I had to get the updated VR intake as the old filter was torn when I took it out. Who ever installed the VR before me just shoved the MAF into the top of the VR intake to make it fit and I ended up having to do this as well. As I keep blabbing about, I have an after market MAF and that may be causing the problem. I have not found who makes my MAF so I know nothing about it. If you know, please help.

What I have found is that the tweeking is usually in the collars. Some measuring and cutting and all is well, It has made no difference if its was an OEM mass air or aftermarket C5 or C6 , all that i have installed needed to be customized some what. If you think that cam is wicked , just wait to you hear the one in my C5 .........should have it ready in about a month . I will post up a vid.

Thx

Thank you very much for the input. I heard there were no horsepower gains from a new MAF, but I like to tell everyone I have one from the after market that adds...I don't know, whatever stickers add, then double it. As for the Vid of the C5, I can hardly wait!

Riley there are gains form a larger MAF when combined with say a 90/90 set-up and tuning where the MAF tables can be adjusted . There are however no gains by just installing an aftermarket MAF to an other wise stock system.

Okay, that makes sense as I just read your post again and clued in that you were talking about the fitment between the MAF and air bridge and not the function of the MAF. Well, I'm not too sure what a 90/90 set up is as I am just learning this stuff, but all I could get from the guy I purchased my car from was that it had Borla exhaust, and a tune (I do not know the type/depth of tune). I tried to ask him further about the tune, but received no response. The Vararam and MAF threw me for a loop as he did not mention it when I bought the car. I don't think he was a car guy and as such, didn't know much about it. Would that MAF be useful on my car, or is it only useful when changing engine internals plus a tune? Sometime I would like to dyno my car just to see where it stands.

Oh ya. Thank you very much for taking the time to explain this to me. I really do enjoy learning about these cars.

90/90 is a Fast 90mm composite intake with a 90mm throttle body .
Your MAF would be useful if you were planning on more mods that would increase the air volume coming into the engine.

Thx
