It can be tough to walk away sometimes but you'll know if you did the right thing. I never asked, what is it about the silver anniversary model that attracts you so much? Just curious. My wife likes the rubber bumper C3's more than the chrome bumper ones; she thinks they look more integrated and futuristic. She doesn't care about the lower power.
Well, since I cannot afford a good pre 68 and with not liking the 68-77 cars except the roadsters I guess my default was a 78. Frankly, I have never really tested myself before on other years... you know, see a great car, at a great price... why not consider another year? I don't have a good answer.
In the meantime 2006 to 2013 I've fulfilled another bucket list item having the hots for a Triumph TR6 since 1969. I bought the TR6 and have put tons of money and time into it. No regrets. It's a near perfect car now but I was ready to sell for the right Corvette.
