Rookie looking at 78 Silver L82

It can be tough to walk away sometimes but you'll know if you did the right thing. I never asked, what is it about the silver anniversary model that attracts you so much? Just curious. My wife likes the rubber bumper C3's more than the chrome bumper ones; she thinks they look more integrated and futuristic. She doesn't care about the lower power.

Well, since I cannot afford a good pre 68 and with not liking the 68-77 cars except the roadsters I guess my default was a 78. Frankly, I have never really tested myself before on other years... you know, see a great car, at a great price... why not consider another year? I don't have a good answer.

In the meantime 2006 to 2013 I've fulfilled another bucket list item having the hots for a Triumph TR6 since 1969. I bought the TR6 and have put tons of money and time into it. No regrets. It's a near perfect car now but I was ready to sell for the right Corvette.

Agreed Wayne; always liked the TR6. I considered buying one at one time.

Funny VetteDreamer, I always liked the '68 to '77 vettes as I like the flat back window more and the interior more but everyone has their own likes. I hope you find your car someday.

Case75... just took a close look at your car pics. You have me thinking that if I can part with my near perfect TR6 I should be looking for a great Vette instead of a specific year. Heck, I worked with a guy who bought a 74 new from Belmont I think... I loved that car. For now though, I'll keep daydreaming until I have more time. Have some home renovations to deal with. Cheers guys.

Take your time and find a car you know you'll be happy with! Looking forward to hearing how your Corvette found you!
