2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray Hybrid First Look: Quicker Than a Z06!
It’s the first electrified, first AWD, and first FWD (!?) Corvette ever.

Looks like it’s starting at $104K and $111K in the States. So I’m guessing $130K and $145K in Canada for coupe and convertible respectively.
Plus “market adjustment”…Straight pipes is saying $128, 798 CAD including fees. (I imagine for the coupe that was in their video)
You’ve lost me- how are you making money? Are you reselling?Sounds like I am about to make some money on this Eray. I put a deposit for this car very early on in 2022. Good decision
Well I initially put the deposit down on this car to buy but I have mind set on a Ferrari 488. Something in that range. However, I am also very high on a list at a big Chevy dealer so I will have the chance to buy this car. I might buy this car, drive it around here and there and sell it. I am sure this will be marked up when it comes outYou’ve lost me- how are you making money? Are you reselling?
Be aware that you'll likely be blacklisted if you flip it within 12 months. No more new GM products.Well I initially put the deposit down on this car to buy but I have mind set on a Ferrari 488. Yeah, I am aware of that. I might just keep it as my daily. I have not decided yet. I am just saying that if I do decide to sell it, I am sure this is going to go for +20-30% above MSPRPBe aware that you'll likely be blacklisted if you flip it within 12 months. No more new GM products.
Haha yea, a good used 488 is going to run around 350. It is one of my dream cars so it is a completely different sentiment for me.Cross shopping a Corvette and a Ferrari! Bet GM didn’t see that coming! There’s probably a $200K or more price difference
When Erays sell for $100k over msrp, it is not a 200k jump into a ferrari or a lambo.Cross shopping a Corvette and a Ferrari! Bet GM didn’t see that coming! There’s probably a $200K or more price difference
I don't think you will see $100K mark ups. At most, I think you will see $50K mark ups. If one buys a Eray at anywhere after $200K, I do not know what to say to you. When Erays sell for $100k over msrp, it is not a 200k jump into a ferrari or a lambo.
objectively E-ray is better, but subjectively the sound of a high revving flat plane crank engine is intoxicating. Now if I was picking a daily driver I would pick the objective choice, but for a fun toy I must listen to my heart not my brainYeah I have a feeling demand for the E-Ray will outstrip the Z06 considering how close they are in price. It boils down to:
-would you rather the sound of the flat plane crank V8 and track your car
or
-do you want the quickest factory Corvette ever made with cool technology, hard launches and AWD.
I feel 90% of us want the E-Ray.
A wise man once said “I live my life a quarter mile at a time for those 10 seconds I’m free”Yeah E-Ray will be quicker for the first few passes. The Z06 will be fast all day long. Like the Tesla Plaid........kills everyone for 3 passes then it sits the rest of the day on the side watching.........just my thought.
No, 0-60 is almost always quicker and in some rare cases almost the same in cars with poor traction. 0-60 relies on launch control, but 5-60 shows you the true power of the car with launch control eliminated@DenisC8
I think your numbers are backwards. 0-60 times must be longer than 5-60, unless you have a time machine.
