Question in regards to shipping

I believe that every Corvette purchased comes with a free, three-year subscription to OnStar, or at least it definitely does for E-Rays. Once you have a confirmed order, your dealer can activate your subscription, and then download the myChevrolet app. From this point on, you have a real time map wherever your Corvette is located.
That's what I did to track mine but I had my contact at OnStar add the new car to my existing cars on my app. Some dealers will not activate the subscription to the delivery of the vehicle, but in wdepipes case the dealer should do this due to the lengthy delay in shipping.

Toledo has been the train transload site for Corvettes destined for western Canada for the least the last decade. I have a E-Ray that was released to Bowling Green on July 31, and it sat for 2 days but was immediately trucked to Toledo. My E-Ray sat there until just now when I watched it load to a train this morning. As I am writing this, I can see the train moving onto the main line destined for Chicago on Norfolk Southern Rail. I'm guessing that you may be on this train as well. The big question is whether it may be further delayed with the potential rail strike.

Any update on your C8? Nothing on ours. I did reach out to GM and they had a slightly different version in that it was awaiting final testing and approvals before final shipment. Never did answer if it was still in Toledo which the salesman was able to show on his update from GM. Is a little frustrating as our was built July 9th and I have found some as late as July 27 build date and they are at the dealer in Calgary. Found about 6 that were built after ours and somehow got delivered to Alberta. Of course we now go away for 3 weeks- just about guaranteed it shows up then lol.

Yes, my E-Ray pulled into Winnipeg last evening. There is a chance now it could be delivered on Friday, but my dealer thinks it's more likely to show up next Wednesday, after the long weekend.

As best I can tell, the rail lockout has been a non-issue for delivery for Corvettes destined for western Canada. I now know the Canadian carrier has been CN which travels on US rails until the last 100 kilometers to Winnipeg and the trains continued operating there during the lockout

Hope yours comes in shortly.

Good to hear, enjoy your new ride!

Wdepipes, let me know what your dealer says after they make a couple of calls and I will tell you the next steps to take if they don't know how to help you.

Would you be able to help me out please? I'm new member and cannot message you perhaps maybe your able to message me directly?

My vehicle was built July 30 and arrived in Toledo August 8. Dealer gave me ETA September 7-10 to Edmonton, but the vehicle has yet to leave Toledo. The ETA seems highly unlikely now at this point. Called Corvette Concierge and they advised that after its been "shipped" that is as far as they know and after its between the dealer and transport company. Dealer has not been much help as they are persistent that the car will arrive Sept 7-10. I would have called order management but I dont know the dealer code.

When did you car arrive in Toledo? This is crazy over 2 months after build date to receive a car.
His car left the factory a month before your did on July 10th. It should have arrived in Edmonton after 1 month not 2 plus months.

As your dealer to go into VIN-VIEW on there computer and tell you where the car is sitting right now. Then if it is not moving ask the dealer to call GM order management and find out why it has been sitting there for a month and has not moved yet? Then have them ask when it is expected to leave for Chicago on the next train going West to Canada. Earlier this summer there was talk of a rail strike, but I didn't get confirmation that it happened. Perhaps GM can update your dealer.

I did for numerous weeks and they would send me screen shots in vin view showing it sitting in Toledo. They kept saying nothing to worry about it’s still xx weeks away from the eta. Eta now September 18

Really thing GM should be more liable and on the hook for there eta or get there sh** together. TPW mean nothing even when my TPW was confirmed in 3200 statue it never got built till 2 weeks after. Then on top of this not moving from the factory till 1/2 weeks later then sitting in Toledo for a month. I don’t see the point in a mid fall delivery to now sit in the garage depreciating more as a 2024. Probably cancel the deal on my vehicle not go ahead with it.

Ask them if it has moved yet and when it is scheduled to leave. Others have been given a date before and over a month later still don't have their car yet.

No not Ottawa. North of Quebec, La Sarre, Nicol auto. I ordered it when I was living there.
I'm in the Ottawa area but still on Quebec side of the river.
Not sure why you ordered up there, perhaps your dealer can update you on where your car is now and expected delivery date so you can make arrangements to get it down south.
