I wonder how much a car would cost these days if you could buy it chromed up like those from the 50's.

Then again, the body panels in vehicles of today are not thick enough to hold up all that weight.

I know this is not a Chevy, but I could not resist sending this picture of a slightly older cousin from LaSalle, Ontario - a suburb of Windsor. This car is a promotion piece and is seen at all the local parades and car shows.
