Obviously in 1958 they had more than 4 minutes to assemble a car...Dave, I think I have found where the bumper and trim alignment answers may be.

Oooooops Dave! This guy got the thingamajig mixed up with the whatchamacallit reading in the disassembly part of the assembly manual and overdid it. Now he has misplaced the mounting bolts and will spend the rest of the day searching among the bumper and trim pieces for them. Just look at the pile of stuff in the back corner.Very interesting. Reminds me of my old BSA shop manual which basically was "put it together, if it doesn't work you did something wrong". Wouldn't surprise me if the chevy instructions read... "Assemble front bumper and side trim with bolts provided."
Appears he has a degree in Organized Chaos or he has 2 hobbies, one is working on classic cars, the other is looking for the parts.Oooooops Dave! I wonder if the problem relates to "Sculpturmatic Styling"???!? I don't even think sculpturmatic is a word, but its on the sign!
Here Marty, eat this donut...it's good, I promise.
The sign writer wanted to give approval to the innovators like Fisher and got confused by the transmission guys at Hydramatic.I wonder if the problem relates to "Sculpturmatic Styling"???!? I don't even think sculpturmatic is a word, but its on the sign!
That's fixed it, there'll be no griping about side trim alignment.
I don't think you will have any trouble fitting your golf clubs in that trunk. As a matter of fact, if you drop them in there, you might just hear an echo.
I don't think you would have any trouble dropping a C8 in that trunk. Be handy for when the DCT flies apart...I don't think you will have any trouble fitting your golf clubs in that trunk. As a matter of fact, if you drop them in there, you might just hear an echo.
