I think it is a single door awning container similar to the 12 foot things they have on the side of camper trailers. However the air conditioner explanation by Black 03 Z06 may be closer to the truth.......lol

A glitch in the production line resulted in solid continuous side panels. The doors were cut out after the fact with a cutting torch. The guy with the torch was hungover that day.
