Painting Vinyl

[75 Stingray Coupe]

Trying to save a few bucks prettying up my old 75 coupe, does anyone know if the vinyl on the dash and console can be painted? I found a replacement dash and other parts but different colour. I heard it could be painted but not sure what to use....thanks

I am certain there is as I remember painting the dash of my old '72 Chevelle back in the early 80's. It held up very well and I must say for a youngster working on a budget build, it turned out pretty sweet. I would try some aftermarket auto parts stores that carry autobody supplies.

Good point, I'll try a couple of those in town. Anything at this point will be an improvement. Just to get me through the fall then hope to do it right over the winter...

Rowarrior painted his steering wheel on his '81 and it turned out great! You should ask what he used.
