A GM spokesperson verified all the information in this thread.
While we have some constraints accompanying today’s start of the first 2023 Stingray DOSP, we have good news for most whose 2023 SR order is going in officially this DOSP.
The Good News: Those orders which are submitted today with an allocation and do not have a constraint will become 3000 status by next Wednesday.
The standard Z51 option (“FE3”) is not constrained; whomever would want it, consistent of course with their dealer providing them an allocation, would get their order GM accepted (both 2000 & 3000 status) within the upcoming week. However not everyone who wants the Z51 AND also chooses to additionally select mag ride (which together becomes the “FE4” suspension) would be able to get the latter due to partial, chip-shortage-caused constraints on FE4. Some will be able to get around that combination FE4 constraint but some will not — again due to chip shortages.
There are also some partial constraints on the standard Stingray suspension (“FE1”); while there are more FE1 units available in today’s initial 2023 Stingray DOSP as compared to the initial March allocation (the latter which only covered the last of the 2022 Stingray orders), FE1 partial constraints remain.. Lastly, consistent with the last 2022 DOSP, there will be no standard Stingrays able to ordered that have mag ride (“FE2”) this initial 2023 DOSP.
