Oh here we go again...

Folks GM will specifically tell the dealership how many Z06 and how many Stingray they can order once the allocation drops.
No, they will tell you how many allocations you received and how many of them can be Z06's ;)

Thats where the s**t will hit the fan!!!! If I recall, the reservation did not stipulate what car you were getting and there were no documents signed. The deposit was for a Chevrolet Corvette that was it!!!
s**t will hit the fan for sure as not all dealers will "give" the allocation the same way. Maybe GM should have come up with a standard process for all dealerships to follow.

Dealers have no choice. They either follow directions or they get no more allocations. Not only that, but any orders they enter that is not correct and they won't go to 2000.
If, for example, they assign 2 allocations to Z06's when they were told they can have one, the other won't go to 2000 and they will lose that allocation. It will be removed and given to another dealer.

Sorry Murray, I should have been more clear. I meant as how waiting lists are to be created or having a standard system to input clients on a waiting list to ensure all dealers deals with lists the same way (1 list vs 2 lists).

I'm still not sure it really matters given the way GM is dolling out the Z06's.
Though I suppose it could get dicey if a client is not savvy on Vettes and says. "Oh, can I get a Z06 instead? I didn't know about them." A dealer could choose to help the guy, I guess.

I went to the local dealership yesterday to order a 2023. Or at least check on their allocation. I was told 3-4 years out. Really ??
Would anyone recommend another dealer in the GTA of Toronto that might be worth a visit ??
Any help would be appreciated.

Did you try Spencer's in Coburg, Wilson Niblett in North York or Brian Cullen in Saint Catharine's? They are the big three.
Edit: Either way you are likely looking at at least a year.

Try Jeff Easton at Brian Cullen
Thats who I deal with as well. Spoke to him today and he said that they have the order guide but no pricing and that it would probably be a week or two before they have that. Once he has the pricing, he will contact the names on the list that he thinks will get a 23 to put there order in. As of April I've been waiting a year. Put deposit April 2021.
