I say Number 1 Corvette Dealer based only on allocation numbers from the information I have been following since June 2020 regarding monthly allocations.

Are you suggesting that we should be pushing paid sponsors who deliver less cars and not mention the dealership that delivers the most cars just because they don't pay this forum? hell then we can replace members with bots that will tell you which sponsors to get the car from, who to use for PPF/Ceramic, insurance, cleaning products and accessories. I have been on forums like that where every second thread was a sponsor's not so subtle advertisement, and admins would delete comments that did not toe the company line. That forum died, but funny thing is for months after with no human activity including from admins, the sponsor bots continued to post and comment on their own posts.

Personally, I cannot be bought or sold so when someone asks "where should I order my corvette?" I will always answer "pick any of the top 3 corvette dealers" and if they ask me which one of the top 3 I picked when I bought my C8" I will answer "Cullens, because from my knowledge they get the most C8 allocations"

I honestly believe if there is a lien, that the buyers are always notified before the order is submitted, same as what Porsche does.
DennisC8, you have followed the big 3 allocations for 3 years, have you recorded them?
It would be very interesting to see numbers by dealer if you have them. GM Canada doesn't publish
numbers by dealer like they do in the States.

I seek out allocation numbers every month, and usually get them for Cullens and Spencers. WN do not openly share numbers but when they do they are lower compared to Cullens. I do not keep a spreadsheet of monthly numbers but the numbers have been posted. For the last few months I have started threads such as “Feb allocations” where information about allocations get shared as it comes in

Isn’t Finch in London #4 by allocations?
Yes could be? As you know every dealerships states they are top dealership. It's just when district sales manager tells you the top corvette sales I kind of believe him? Same manager I called up in 2019 and asked for a ZR1 and received a car. He must know something?

I can assure you that there was absolutely no discussion about a lien when I gave my deposit or when my car had an allocation. I inquired about my spot on the list in Oct (#10 on the list) come to find out my car had been built. My car was built Oct 1 so my allocation would have been submitted sometime in August. People can choose to deal with who ever they want, I just find it funny they said it was a GM thing (lien) when actually its not, haven't heard of any other dealerships doing a lien on a car but them and I've inquired to 4 other dealerships so it obviously not a GM thing and a Cullen thing. Anyhow its all good now! Denis, lets us no if they put a lien on your car when your number comes up or are they picking and choosing who they put the lien on.

Just some additional food for thought on this subject...

"Liens on your home or on your car, or any other assets you have in your name, are going to affect your credit score negatively. In fact, some experts suggest it could affect your score as negatively as a bankruptcy on your credit report."

That is good to know!

So you didn’t find out about the lien until the day of picking up the car? Didn’t you sign a bill of sale before your order was attached to allocation?

I will let you and the group know about my experience when my number comes up.

That is why in my addendun with Cullens I stated and they accepted that they are 100% responsible for any and all harm to my credit rating. Thus they will need to correct any misinformation or interpretation that affects my rating. I can confirm that it is registered and I can see it on my credit report. BTW my rating dropped around that time and will do more research to confirm that was the change that caused it.
I also think that Cullens is fully aware of the negativity of the lien process, otherwise they would be upfront about it from the beginning.
If they are not putting liens on everyone's C8 this truly opens a can of worms. But honestly, aren't the the days of worrying about flipping for profit long gone? There are many C8s available now in NA and prices are dropping. If you want to make any real money you need a Z06/Eray order.

See Fourwheel Trader on YT for his latest analysis.

Is anyone positive it's an actual lien against the vehicle. Unlike lots of the above posters, I am not a lawyer but I have dealt with numerous interests in property and lands throughout my actual work years and I would think it would be much simpler for the dealers to file a Caveat as opposed to a lien. Would be listed on the title identifying only an interest in the property but would still require the caveat holder to be contacted by the registrar prior to a title change. JMO

1. no one forced to to agree to a lien, you could of walked away. So you are fully responsible for your credit score regardless of what addendum you have.
2. no, the days of flipping are not over, we are in Canada specifically not "NA" as we are not buying in US and Mexico so no a "Youtube analyst" does not know what he is talking about when it comes to Canada. Our wait times doubled in the last 18 months because demand is higher and deliveries are lower.

No, I found out when I picked the car up (yes I could have not taken the car that I waited 18 months for I get it), there was no signing of anything as I stated before my allocation went in in August and the sales guy had no idea the car had an allocation. When I contacted the sales guy in Oct to see if I had an allocation for Oct, thats when I found out the car was actually built. Anyhow, I'm done with this now anyhow, its more of a heads up to guys who have upcoming allocations with Cullens to be mindful thats all.

what they did is not cool regardless if I am ok with it or not, and thank you for sharing your experience with the forum so others don't have to find out the hard way.

I don't quite agree with your statement. At the time of pickup you have a contract with GM to purchase the vehicle ordered through that dealership. That contract is binding. Reneging at that point would be a breach of contract and you could be liable for any potential costs and/or the total cost of the vehicle. While most dealerships would let you off the hook do not think that you are not legally liable at that point. You are. So blaming the lien is highly unlikely to work as it is not against the law to do so in Ontario. Bad business yes, against the law nope.

Yes, there is a demand for C8s in Canada. But the number of cars for sale has increased month over month for the past year. As for making a profit selling your brand new C8 these days I do not see the profit margin after MSRP, Luxury tax and HST.
Can you get out of it....yes. But making money, that is less likely. Therefore, the need for a lien is now questionable. And that was my only point there.
