As a car guy I don’t look at it as a $200k Z06 vs what else is available at that price. I look at 200k Z06 vs 100k C8 + another $100k fun car and this is when things get interesting

That was my case. I could have waited for a z07 or take the one allocation they were offering. I do not plan on tracking mine, so full load car with no z07 I was ok with. I just wanted the car.

WOW!! I didn't think they were that high. I picked all options except for HTC and it didn't go that high? Yet many items were not priced when my order went in.

At that price range, (other than the Z06), the only other car I would think about is the GTR which is a bit long in the tooth, or a 718 GT4

Murray the window stickers on the Z06's are blank and so is the GM global connect system when you enter a cars VIN number. It would appear the system hasn't been updated with Z06 information yet as I was checking on this today.

There were 15 initial Z06 allocations for Canada and I believe there's a sub 100 car in there so not necessarily a grouping.

Cam, the initial 15 with the exception of the one going to Morgan Crosby at Finch Chevrolet which is VIN#148 have been pushed back. I know another one of those initial 15 got a build week of Jan 2/23 last week.
The cars that are being delivered now are from the second batch of allocations that went out when the big dealers got on the phone and let GM know exactly what they thought of the initial allocations! It was never announced how many cars were in the second batch. The torch red Z06 that was bid on for 253K that is sold to a customer at Lakewood Chev in Edmonton is supposed to be the one with the sub 100 VIN. Perhaps someone in Edmonton can verify that.

Which is strange one of our Edmonton members called Lakewood asking about the car. They haven't received it yet? So who really knows until it arrives what we see as the build number. You would think if it's pre 100 car, they would have the car already?

I was told today from a GM guy I think is correct.....but just never know. As we all know the first 15 pushed back. The second round of corrected allocation was 12 cars with 2 cars carried over from the first 15. My contact said a total of 40 retail cars only will be for Canada in 2023 unless restrictions change. Originally GM wanted 900 cars built before end of the year (2022) and they expect just under 300. Yet we all know this could just be talk.......
