Oil change šŸ§

Hopefully your dealer knows how to change oil but no guarantees.I went in to the dealer's shop with my first free oil change and was satisfied with the tech. I still take my Vette there but supply my own Mobil 1 oil. They supply the filter, check levels, tire pressure, multi-point inspection and top up windshield washer... Total cost less than $35.00...As long as I'm happy with their service, no way I will do it myself at that price. JMO

with an attempt to interpret and answer the thread statement ...

Bring your own Oil to a dealer that is willing is definitely worth it.
As my 2 dry sump C7's (9.4 litres or so each) is about $575+ at the Dealership total for both ...
So it's definitively pretty much about saving money ... by doing it all yourself.
$75 oil on sale + filter + $50 labour saves maybe about $100 per dry-sump car where I go ...

a drawback on changing your own oil is finding a responsible method for disposal.

I don't think I would worry about it though if I had the non-dry sump changes.

My dealership has done a great job looking after 3 corvettes and ensuring I'm getting every perk available. Using a statement like you did deserves a fun poke, don't you think?
I dish it out, I better be able to take it....

But out here an hour from YYC, running to the dealer for basics is a pain in the butt. 3 to 4 hours for an oil change when I can change in 20 minutes. Of course that doesnt take into account an oil volcano every once in a while.
