Thought I would introduce myself and my new to me car.
Just had this gem dropped off yesterday. 78 350 auto originally grey.
Interior is in real good condition. Some bad rust on the LH frame where it turns up before the rear wheel. Frame off this winter to get the frame taken care of. Has had some damage on the front end in front of the Rh light. Fixed but not very well. Light doesn't go down in the hole all the way. Needs some broke parts replaced, adjusted and little glass work.
Worked for GM late 80s to late 90s.
Not original engine. Going to look at a 95 LT1 with all accessories next week for 650, engine knock, hoping its just a rod. Maybe put a Megasquirt ECM on it. Payed 5200 for the vett, cover, book, small box of parts.
You will see more of me this winter, im sure.

Jacked it up out side the shop and pressure washed the crap out of the underneath today. May be shopping for a 2post hoist for the shop. Always wanted one. Nows the time with the minor resession hitting.
Almost had a plate for it today, previous owner was off an the serial number so it was a no go. Z not a 2 LOL
Tomorrow maybe. I did drive it and it has a minor pull to the left under power. Hoping it's the rear out of alignment.
 
School me on glass Ts. Are most of them tinted? And what's the going rate? I see them for 700.

Can anyone tell me the place to get frame parts? Body mounts in the rear have some cancer. Could be more bad mounts. I can build them but if they can be had for a good price I'll go that rout.

I take some parts can be sourced at NAPA, Part Source etc. Steering and driveline components.
 
Deering; There are actually quite a few Vettes in Ponoka, We host a Meet and Greet in the spring and generally get up to 20 something cars.

Another source for parts is Haler Concepts in Innisfail.
 
Cool is there a web page or something I can watch out for Don?

The LT1 is siting in my garage. Looks like #4 rod spun the brg. Bearing material throughout the engine. Probly need a complete. Now I have to decide stock crank or stroked. I also need to do some research on if it is a common occurrence with these rods. They are forged powdered metal. I may go with something else rod wise.
 
To bad about the spun bearing.

I have dealt with Chris on a few things for My C3, He is good to deal with. Knowledgeable.
 
Ya it is too bad, but for 600 for engine intake alt PS, Ac ignition,exhaust, water pump I think I can make it work. I have valve grinding tooling, and a boring bar although the bores may be ok.
 
Anyone know anything on the LT1 front crank hub? I have a cady block and corvette accessories. Hub is a little short. Belt doesn't quite line up. I'm guessing I need the vet hub, or build a spacer.
