We drive our vette on long tours and have been through some torrential down pours. Just take it easy, we've never had it side slip or hydroplane and ithasn't melted or leaked anywhere.

Actually drove mine in the rain today. Got caught in a good shower on the way home. Wipers did a good job considering the age of the car! Had to take it easy on the throttle as no traction control in 1975. Had a jerk pull right out in front of me; slammed on the brakes and car stopped straight and surprisingly short. Thought my wife was going to have a heart attack! I was more worried about the guy behind me!
