NASCAR "back in the day"

I read a 2 book autobiography on Smokey a number of years ago. He was involved in so much other than racing. He was a B17 pilot in WW2, involved in investing/working in gold fields in South America, involved with the car companies in Detroit, and dabbled in others. The man was a flat out genius. A real character to say the least but a genius. It is a long read and a bit dry in spots but well worth the read if you are a back in the day Na$car fan.
