I appreciate that but I'm not want to take any b******* if there's any chance of it being free and writing I'll stick it up their nose.

Just give them the latest home office letter and let them find out for themselves. Wait for the response which is usually Oh and then an excuse.I appreciate that but I'm not want to take any b******* if there's any chance of it being free and writing I'll stick it up their nose.
Dealer in Milton told me 3.2 hours @ $180/, their price for the filter was $292. A liter of fluid, $62. Then they add some for environment, rags, etc.Wow that's fantastic but I can't believe it was that much in the beginning my dealer told me it was two and a half labor hours plus the filter of course I have no clue how much the filter cost was that Canadian or American dollar?
If you replace the TX fluid at say 27 or 28 months is it mandatory per warranty to do it again at 36 months ? For some folks the 36 month/3year change could land in January when there is 6 or 7 feet of ice on the lake……thanks.Ok, I have checked with GM and for the owners in BC if your dealer says your first DCT filter is not covered you need to have them reference the latest home office letter pertaining to 2025 model year Corvettes numbered 2024-601-R01.
It says for 2025 Corvettes you have up to 36 months to get your first free DCT filter change, and you also have two free oil changes with your car.
If you change your DCT filter before 12,000 km, you ARE STILL REQUIRED to change your DCT filter again at 12,000 km.
Once you have used your free services, a GMPP maintenance plan can be purchased to cover additional DCT and oil changes along with the transmission fluid change that is required at 3 years (from your delivery date) or 72,000 km whichever comes first.
CCF members have access to GMPP warranty and maintenance plans at employee pricing and I have the electronic brochures covering all of the services offered that can be sent to you. If your interested let me know.
Scott
As a footnote here, this latest home office letter pertains to anywhere in Canada if your dealer isn't willing to give you your first DCT filter change for free.
No it's not like the DCT where you have to do it again at 12,000 km. I thought you got your car in Edmonton during the spring but if changing it at exactly 36 months doesn't work for you doing it earlier will protect your warranty. If you replace the TX fluid at say 27 or 28 months is it mandatory per warranty to do it again at 36 months ? I did , from Northgate. Which is where I will go for both TX filter and fluid. Nice road trip. They have plenty of experience with Corvettes and I think they are the #7 C8 dealer in Canada. They are also great to deal with from my experience so far. Nice bunch. No it's not like the DCT where you have to do it again at 12,000 km. #11 now but close enough. Still a year away from your road trip.I did , from Northgate. Which is where I will go for both TX filter and fluid. Nice road trip. No rush. Hopefully the highway won’t be on fire next summer when I decide to go……..#11 now but close enough. Still a year away from your road trip.
They were #7 for the 2024 model year which mine is but you are correct they are #11 for sales to date for all years. One of the main reasons I chose them. Didn’t have much else to go by .#11 now but close enough. Still a year away from your road trip.
