Mud Street meet ??? mid november 2012

Great to see everyone again today, my brother really enjoyed himself but I'll be stunned if he actually buys a 'vette. I have been thinking though that Tony's car might be a good fit for him when Tony takes delivery of his C7.

I got an unexpected present today from Terry and Colin, a C5 magazine that is going to give me many hours of enjoyment. Many thanks!

Brian's woodworking skills are amazing although he still won't make me a 1/12 scale C5.

Looking forward to the next and possibly last GTG for this year. The weather until the end of the month looks pretty good, today it reached 11c while I was on my way to Burlington.

Great to see you folks still out touring. Weather here started out sunny but clouded over by noon. Had to drive to Barrie and back today to bring my daughter home for the weekend; good thing I didn't take the 'vette with all the stuff she had!

Such sacraledge.....wooden POT indeed ! a hand crafted wooden bowl is a much
more worthy description of Brian's skilled work.

Wayne, don't get Larry's or your hopes up; the 'vette is a keeper !!

Tony,
welland

Well we certainly don't want to short change Brian's talent do we........:nono:

"Hand Crafted Wooden Bowl" it is. Call it what you want but it is quite a creation and to be proud of.
Apparently made from 72 separate pieces of wood ; glued together; and sanded and finished.

Kudos for a great job Brian.

Well; I do thank you for the comment and the clarification, however no offense was taken.
Hand crafted yes, but not really a bowl. In fact it would be called a Hollow Vessel. And it was made from 74 individual pieces of wood, glued up and turned on the lathe. This technique is known as segmented wood turning....Kind of an art form.

Thanks to you all for the nice comments on this piece.
