Maiden voyage

Ok Dan today I tested the Z with the infotainment accessed sound setting selected for “Track”
Did this with the car in “tour” and “sport” drive modes. 250km of city, freeway and highway. The exhaust seemed like it stayed in loud mode the entire time.... although the revs were rarely below 2000.
Taking off from the lights or hitting it to pass it was loud as he// all day. Roaring under load and crackled like crazy on the down shifts.

So I’m good without pulling a fuse. 👍
This is the first time I have tried this and it’s hugely better than using just the drive mode alone to keep the valves open.

Unless my exhaust valves are now totally stuck... which is ok too.

PS: epic burnout today. Couldn’t resist. 😇

Thank you for the research. I think we may need to replicate those exact conditions in the Z with me driving.😁 it's only fair that i make the same sacrifices you did today. The burn out is optional. I drove mine to the bodyshop today about 8 kms away and forgot to test it, was too excited about getting the splitter and side skirts on. Painting the heat extractor blades torch red to match the calipers. The body shop owner thought it would look good. It will be the only color on the car. Worse case scenario if i don't like it we will spray it back to Carbon flash.

The research was my pleasure Dan... especially when it broke loose in 3rd this afternoon. :ohoh:Could be your pleasure too anytime. Although I suspect yours will do the same with just a bit more pedal.

I highly recommend this as part of the testing protocol.

Wow, can't wait to see your car. You are doing some unique things on it.

show images when done. Should be interesting. I like a little red too other than the red calipers... Capture+_2019-04-23-18-09-33.png
