License plate bracket mod

I am not sure I should admit this but got the car a few days ago from dealer to PPF installer to me and still front plate was in the trunk. Hmmm, I dont want to be illegal, or drill holes, or make a bracket, or buy one. Went to Canadian Tire and one word: Velcro!

Hope I'm wrong, but I would not trust Velcro. The wind vibrations could knock it loose. There are already screw holes beneath the cover that you can use. No need to do any drilling

Great idea. Another alternative I have found is to drop by your local graphics store and ask them to make up a "wrap" plate to stick to your bumper. Apparently illegal in some jurisdictions but rarely enforced is my experience. Happy motoring!

I hear you, but the front plate is so easy to install...Many have done it just like this photo.(not my pic) I am NOT handy...might as well be blind and have no thumbs but even I did it in minutes...see mine from side profile...it looks very clean.

Well I will also admit I looked in the manual and there was nothing about mounting the plates. I took a look at the car and saw no screw holes (maybe I am blind). I didnt realize that is a cover so I am out $4.95. Are the screws included?

Amazon product ASIN B088QZW6HQ

simple process:

remove plate cover with plastic panel tool.
pre-drill small holes in the 4 obvious square spots under the cover.
use self tapping screws (I bought plate specitic ones cheap from Can Tire)
just screw them in slowly alternating corners and the plate and silicon frame will bend a bit quite easily as you screw it in

Yes, the screws are included. I didn't use them as they weren't long enough for my purpose. BEWARE! The factory mounting plate scratches the nose!

Why would you want to distort your $300 vanity plates? Perhaps I'm cheap. Replacements are $100.
Oh, and BTW bending your plate is also illegal. If the cop wants to get nasty.
Edit: replacement plates are not $300

"Vanity" best served by this mounting method. Cost to replace Ontario personalized plate $100.70. My good friend and next door neighbour OPP sargeant looked at it and could not give a s**t so why should I?

You added a cutting board to your $100k car because you didn't want to “deform” your plate……
I guess to each his own……
Seriously?
I'm not made of money like, it seems, many of you are!

My Corvette Chev Dealer took care of everything before I picked the car up. Front straight mounting bracket with plastic licence plate cover on the front. On the back, put on the plate with a plastic cover. All done and did not cost me a cent. Look great!
