No excuses tonight. We got the best pitcher going for us.
We have to get on base and put runners on to pressure their pitchers and players into making mistakes.

They held the come back record this year so I had hope but when Springer hit that 3 run homer, I scared the s**t out of my dogs when I yelled.... lol...
The ALCS were good games (except for the first 2 games).
Now bring on the Dodgers and Othani, although I have a feeling it's going to be tough going for the Jays to beat them we'll see.
On another topic, I watched game 4 highlights of the NLCS when he pitched 6 scoreless innings, K'd 10 batters and hit 3 HR (that 2nd one was OMG!!!!!!)
Then he was pulled as a pitcher but was still able to bat to get that 3rd HR...................what gives there? Announcers mentioned some "Othani rule" where even if he doesn't pitch he can still bat but I thought in the NL pitchers also bat because they don't use DH like in the AL.
So if he was pulled from pitching after X # of innings, how is he still able to bat?

A special rule was also adopted in 2022 that allows a player who starts as both pitcher and DH to remain as the DH even after they are done pitching, a rule that has been used by players like Shohei Ohtani.

Ok, that's news to me. I don't follow NL baseball. I only remember back in 93 WS Jays and Phillies when they played in Philadelphia and pitchers had to bat so Cito had a tough decision..................who do you bench to fit the pitcher into the batting order when you had WAMCO?.............any of those 5 WAMCO players could inflict serious damage to the other team in the batter box.
