I put my C7 up on stands since the garage I'm storing it in is not heated. I removed the wheels to store in the basement since the tires on the C7 have been proven to crack badly when kept in the cold below -10C or so. Didn't want to take the chance of requiring new rubber in the spring and this was quite easy and fairly cheap as I bought the stands with another jack from canuck tire for less than 100 bucks. Car is all tarped up and battery disconnected.
The C6 I had prior with Wide Oval Firestone runflats I stored in unheated storage just on the tires with no issues.
