It's coming soon!

I have my name down too. May be too hardcore for me. The Z06 is already up there in terms of loudness and power. It is not as usable as the C8 for GT driving IMO, plus I love my HTC as some of you know. But if I am definitely buying it if I get the allocation. I don't think price will be a factor in this market anymore for a rare car like that. So it will be snapped up by any "carnoisseur". We will see.

If you are a car enthusiast, no street car is too hardcore. I will adjust my expectations to adapt to the car. :)

Today is only the 24th. Is it on not the 25th?
That's what the video said.
Supposedly the ZR1’s reveal will be at 7:00 PM (ET) — This Thursday at the Miami Track Concours Club. GM should be releasing a link soon.

I would ordinarily agree, however, getting to my age. The excitement of pure speed and road credentials prowess is taking second place to a balance of performance, visceral experience and ease of ownership. My favorite car of the ones I have is the 997.1 Carrera 2 Manual Convertible. 300hp of pure joy and excitement any day, as long as there is no traffic, or rain or....lol. I will buy the ZR1 if I get one as it makes financial sense ,in a weird way. But I also miss the C8s fun (being able to row thru gears for example) and ease of driving compared to the Z06. I think the Z06 is as far I would go to own, drive often and keep. I drove the new GT3RS and found it loud and harsh, the Turbo S was too sickly fast, so my choice would be the GT3 if I went to a 911. Hence slower but a lot more engaging.

I'm impressed with the hp and torque #'s they got out of that displacement. I will tune in for more of the specs of this car when they are released. Most interesting to me are weight and performance #'s. Would love to see how the car will manage that kinda power from a dead stop to not roast the tires instantly.

You rarely see a C7 ZR1 in the wild, you will most likely NEVER see this car out and about. I'm curious as to how someone that will get this car will insure it...........................yes Hagerty most likely if they will insure it but your normal run of the mill insurance company will most likely not touch this car with a 50 ft. pole.
