I attended at the Calgary Firebird Club Show today and saw a few cool vehicles there that I thought were worthy of photos.

The first of which is a 1978 Anniversary Edition Corvette with an LS3 crate swap. I seriously love this car a lot. If I could justify the cost, I would SO do this.....

Another very cool vehicle there was a 1971 Chevy pickup truck, with a new build under the hood. A super-sleeper in my mind..... with a twin-turbo 6.0 V8!

This thing was just weird. I've seen remote turbos, rear-mounts, and strange things before, but this is over the top. Literally.

Great pics! That 71 pickup is awesome!!! We have a member that put an LQ9 in their 77 vette. Modern engine swaps are wicked.

What's with the MSD coil packs and stock ones interchanged on that '78? I would run all one brand of coil and not mix and match.

Very cool pics, and that roof turbo is hilarious. Love the sleeper '71 as well!

I talked with him about that. The stock ones are the ones that have replaced the MSD coils that have failed. I really can't believe you pay that much money for such consistent garbage. I had a brand new set of MSD coils on my new engine for a few weeks. One coil failed after three days, got it replaced, and another failed after three weeks. Done! That s**t came off and the stock coils went back on. I thought MSD was a good name, but their coils are junk.

It was quickly found out in the LS world that the MSD coil packs were unreliable. I actually have a set on my 99 Camaro but kept my stock coils. When the 1st on fails, they will all be switched out and thrown away. Worst $500 I ever spent.
