Having a functional catchcan is a good idea as well.

Totally agree. I installed a catch can on my C7 many years ago when the amount of oil that feeds through the PCV into the intake was a hot topic. Most of the C6 and C7 guys did the same, although a few disputed the necessity for having it. I didn't get the amount of oil that some of the users cars produced but definitely enough to lend credence to the value of having it to keep from gumming up direct injection components and EGR systems. Every 5000 km or so I would check the level and empty as necessary. If you do get one, get one that has it's own dipstick so you don't have to take the bowl off to check the level. I got mine shipped to me from RaceReady garage in Cambridge. Easy install if you're handy at all.Having a functional catchcan is a good idea as well.
I'm going to install one when I get back home . That was an interesting video up above. Was going to do it anyway and they aren't very expensive and are pretty easy to install. And I will check out our forum sponsor Race Ready of course !Totally agree.
