I made it to 3000!

3. ADJUST THE FOUR CORNERS
TIRE PRESSURE AND WHEEL ALIGNMENT (OWNER’S MANUAL: 9-6)

The tires on Corvette Stingray (with the Z51 Performance
Package) require inflation and pressure adjustment when
driving at high speeds on a track (where legal).
Corvette Stingray (with the Z51 Performance Package) wheel
alignment settings should be set as follows for track use (and
returned to normal when high-speed driving has ended):
• Limit the vehicle load to the driver only, with no other
cargo and infl ate the tires to 180 kPa (26 psi); drive at a
maximum speed of 280 km/h (174 mph)
• Return the tires to the recommended cold tire infl ation
pressure when high-speed driving has ended
Front (per corner)
• Caster: +7.0 degrees
• Camber: -2.0 degrees
• Toe: 0.05 degrees toe in
Thrust Angle: 0 degrees
Rear (per corner)
• Caster: 0 degrees
• Camber: -1.7 degrees
• Toe: 0.05 degrees toe in

FRONT LICENSE BRACKET/AERO PANEL
The aero panel (if being used as a license plate holder) should be removed for track events and competitive driving to improve
engine performance.

4. CHECK YOUR FLUID LEVELS
FLUIDS AND LUBRICANTS (OWNER’S MANUAL: 9-6, 11-12)
Be sure to follow all service procedures before driving Corvette Stingray (with the Z51 Performance Package) on the track or
competitively. Any fl uids or lubricants that are changed should be restored back to normal before returning to street driving.

FLUID/LUBRICANT TO DO WHEN
Oil
(Mobil 1TM 15W50 Recommended
for Track/Competitive Driving)
Check the oil level and keep it at or near
the upper mark that shows the proper
operating range on the engine oil dipstick
Often (before and after every track event or
competitive driving session)
Brake Fluid
(Dot4 Recommended for Track/
Competitive Driving)
Replace existing brake fl uid with a qualifi
ed high-performance brake fl uid from
a sealed container (brake fl uid with a dry
boiling point > 279

5. TURN UP THE PRECISION
DRIVER MODE SELECTOR (OWNER’S MANUAL: 9-38)
AFTER THE TRACK
Be sure to follow all service procedures before driving Corvette Stingray (with the Z51 Performance Package) on the track or
competitively. Any fl uids or lubricants that are changed should be restored back to normal before returning to street driving.
• Remove the brake rotor cooling rings
• Return the tire pressures to factory settings
(see the Tire and Loading Information label located below the door latch with the door open)
• Return the wheel alignment settings to factory
• Reattach the front license plate bracket/aero panel (if removed)
• Replace oil (use only engine oil licensed to the dexos1 specifi cation of the proper SAE viscosity grade)
• Replace brake fl uid (DOT3 Hydraulic Brake Fluid)
• Replace rear axle fl uid (DEXRON

And that is the entire 2014 Corvette Track Preparation Guide from GM.

I have this in PDF if anyone wants a copy but the forum wouldnt allow PDF attachments.

Some people drive it hard from the beginning, so it's subject to debate whether to break a car in or how long. I'm old school, and follow the pattern I've used that has worked for me over 30 some vehicles. Almost all manufacturers recommend a break-in period, largely for warranty purposes.

Keep revs under 3000 for first 500km, next 250 km go up to 3500, then last 250km up to 4000 rev. Watch your downshifts, very easy to over rev.

For manual transmission, use your gears frequently to increase speed while keeping the rev low (short shift), which will also help you learn the clutch and shift points.

If travelling on highway for long distances, vary either the speed or shift gears every 25 or 30km so the engine wears in over a range of revs.

I never rev beyond idle (free rev) while not in gear till broken in.

Don't brake hard (unless emergency) in first 300km minimum. I usually hold off hard braking till 1000km.

These are my personal preferences. Hope this helps you.

I have the same story. Order a z51 And build a non z51 june 2. Presently car is at Toledo,Ohio at train station? Waiting is long. I would try to do Like you And keep myz51 order pre increase price. Do you have confirmation that you dealer can give you the price you have for the 2014 for a 2015?

My dealer could not lock in the price for a 2015. However, I am getting a 2014, my price is locked in, plus I received a discount because of all of the run around. I figure I am up $10k with my protected pricing and discount. That is the only reason I have held out this long as I could buy one in the USA, plate it and bring it home and drive it for 6 months and transfer it, or just leave American plates on it for good.
