HTC Engine viewing

So I,am thinking with the HTC engine cover under the roof storing compartment ,about cutting the center out of that plastic cover and bonding a clear Lexan sheet so you can see the engine with the body top cover is raised?Thoughts anybody?Just an idea I am tossing around.
Don't bother...it isn't pretty at all. Chevy did not try to make it very special under the HTC "hood!" WhenI had mine off for headers, exhaust & intake mods I realized that they put their design $$$ elsewhere, but certainly not in the engine bay of the HTC, which makes a lot of sense considering the design was to shield the car from engine heat. Happy Motoring!!!

I love the HTC. have put one on order the day I received my 21 . Maybe 2023 . who knows . Hopefully its a zo6 . i own 2 c7 convertible’s . But I bought the coupe , and ya know what , with both a clear and solid roof , I’m impressed. it is not about showing of the Engine but it is about the pride of how far north American manufacturers have come . Anyone remember the GM Corvair . AND ITS A PAIN IN THE AS& TO CLEAN . Soon everyone will know what’s under the hood As more time passes. Put your money in body parts . The side skirts alone have saved me a lot of time in cleaning alone From front wheel splatter. Enjoy your HTC for what it is . technology at its best . And if you ever sell or trade up . Hum have to wonder how much it would effect the value. you will get a lot more lookers if that’s what you want .

I could care less about going to car shows. It amounts to trying to show off. Not my game. My HTC gets enough looks rolling down the street.
You lie Sparro. You were spotted by CamsC8 at a car show a couple of weeks ago...

I hope you're on a separate Z06 list, in addition to the Stingray list, if you're looking to potentially get a 2023 Z06.
IF they have a sperate list. If I was a dealer I'd have one list with the item marked. When an allocation comes up it might be Z06 time and the next person in line gets what he wants.
If 06's are not available yet, he gets skipped until the Z06 is available.

Interestingly, most of the C8 coupes I see at car shows have their targa top off and stored in the trunk... Which, as we know, means the profile looks quite similar to the HTC look when the top is open.
For me, seeing the engine is "part of the discussion" AFTER admiring the initial profile.
With my C7, at car shows, I remove the targa top and store it in the trunk - which often surprises people that it will fit there!
I wouldn't mess with the C8 HTC engine cover and risk that there would be damage that definitely would not be covered by the warranty.
Just saying...
