Mine definitely sounds different

I'll encourage everyone to keep complimenting CamsC8's new car (lol).
And just to set off Jack Raccoon (and perhaps Murray) I define "mods" as anything different that MODifies or changes the original vehicle, so much more broadly. :Lurk5: :) :Lurk5:

Regardless, I'm interested if someone comes up with other "tasteful changes" to a black C8. I'm looking for more ways to throw away my money...
I did a rear seat delete. That's a weekend I'll never get back...

Congrats Cam, but I am curious. Weren't you telling me at some point that the most beautiful color combo is the one you were going to order, which was EB on natural ? So surprised you went with the 70th black instead. Also, is this a 1-2 year car until the e-Rays hit the market and you trade up for that ?

Finally, what route are you taking for the drop ? Springs ? Wrench down the stock coilovers ?

Inquiring minds want to know. Enjoy your 70th !!

GREAT looking ride! (looks very familiar; lol)

A few things that might be of interest to you (or maybe not):

2. should you wish to get rid of the visor warning labels, you can do so with the Alcantara (aka "suede") interior and here's a ++ helpful YouTube video guide below. Make sure and read the comments below the video, plus you can buy the recommended Wurth solvent from Ontario:

If you do any mods to yours specific to the AE, please post on this thread. Congrats and enjoy!!! 👍👍👍

I'm using my original post as a stepping-stone, to create an "addendum" to #2 quoted above. For anyone interested in eliminating their visor safety labels (I know I know, why bother?!?), and to help you, here's my experience:

a) the "solution" above used by the YouTube Porsche 911 owner for his Alcantara interior, did NOT work on my 2023 3LT Anniversary Edition Alcantara. I purchased the recommended Wurth solvent from Ontario and tried it, w/o success. I then tried heating the OEM label with a hair dryer so I could peel it off (a different solution suggested by others) but that didn't work;

b) I then tried to purchase Alcantara material, but a GM dealership parts person, plus the GM certified body shop she sent me to, BOTH said they couldn't order a swatch of Alcantara material from GM (I wonder how they effect repairs to rips/tears??) and a local automotive fabric shop didn't stock a matching material and anything close to it;

c) so I gave up trying to remove the labels or cover them with Alcantara;

d) I ordered stickers for the larger-sized labels off eBay: from Zicmotorsports. These worked well and have the "1953-2023 70th Anniversary logo" on them, which are a nice match for my Anniversary Edition Stingray and would work on any 2023;

e) but my search to find similar stickers for the smaller-sized labels, turned up nothing. And those smaller ones are what you see with the visor up and in place, so they're more visible for someone anal like me. Finally, I resorted to a local print shop, who after much trial and error and corrective effort on my part, made peel-and-stick labels with a matching logo, just the right size. Problem solved!

See before and after photos of the smaller visor warning label (which match the larger ones from Zicmotorsports), below.

GM has figured out how to keep the safety labels on but not the dash from bubbling up 🤷

Car looks great Cam! I've also heard people say the black tips which are also a different shape make a different sound. I've even seen comparison videos which also seem to prove the sound is different. It makes no sense at all but I have also ordered the black tips on my new HTC so when it comes in next week I'll see if its true or just an urban legend.

Different sound yes...I didn't think so but it's the first thing I noticed.

glad to hear this because I took the black tips too, I guess when I go to pickup the car this Thurs I will try and see if we can do a side by side test at the dealer and record it to post online (if I don’t forget to ask among all the madness of picking up the car). This one has my curiosity now !!

Picked up my 70th Anniversary Special Edition C8 today! High Wing to follow as it didn't come with the car unfortunately...

The suede interior is superb! I love the colors, feel and finish. The luggage is damn nice.

Spec:
Z51 + Mag Ride
Two roofs...Carbon Fiber and Transparent
Stealth interior
Blk tips...which actually makes a different exhaust sound. I didn't believe it but it sounds different.
